With Nicola Burns claiming a valuable 7lb, Autocrat looks a danger. On what was his debut for Dick Donohoe, the No Nay Never bay was a solid fourth in a stronger contest over C&D last week. Consistent of late, Bright N Shine is capable of making an impact, and so is Come On The Lads.

Market trends should be informative with regards to the newcomers, with Dancing Teapot a sister to Epsom Derby sixth and Group 1 runner-up Dancing Gemini. Fortuna Vera is also well-bred, while the 84-rated Cradle Of Love sets the standard. For a selection, it might be worth siding with CHOCALHO. Out of a Group 1 winner in Argentina, she ran a nice race when fourth on debut at Gowran and is sure to come on plenty for that effort. Formerly in the care of Ollie Sangster, Stiorra is of interest on debut for Andy Slattery, while Misappropriation and Brosna Green are others for the shortlist.

Fourth in this race 12 months ago, Tate's Behind The Scenes warrants respect with the high-flying Rossa Ryan taking the ride. The progressive Elinor Dashwood and Dermot Weld's Red Viburnum are others for the shortlist.

FIVEFORTWO has run consistently well in his three runs to date and has recent C&D form. Just a 1,000gns foal purchase, he is nonetheless nicely bred and having run well on debut, conceded weight when finishing third to a subsequent Listed winner at Listowel and most recently ran well in another useful maiden here last month. He is rated 1lb inferior to No Return but has a slightly less-exposed profile. No Return is himself able and has recent course form, so should run well. Truth Be Told has been frustrating and is tried in a first-time tongue-tie while North Ocean, by hot sire Wootton Bassett and a half-brother to seven winners, might prove best of Joseph O'Brien's trio of debutants.

BLUES EMPEROR has a big weight, despite his rider's 7lb claim, but remains a fraction unexposed on this surface and might follow up last month's C&D win. A four-time winner, his rating had fallen earlier this year before scoring recently and while now raised 6lb, he was rated 97 last March and this is just his third career run on the all-weather so he might progress. Three-year-old Black Storm is interesting on handicap debut, having won a maiden here last month. That form is nothing special, but he is open to further improvement and has form at a mile. Pier Pressure was third to the selection in last month's race and has place claims, while Sayifyouwill refused to load in a recent race here.

HIGHER KINGDOM is quirky but has won five races and returned to form when running well from a career-low rating here last month. His previous win came in March 2023 and while his rating has fallen dramatically since then, he showed promise when staying on over an inadequate distance last month and is now a further 1lb lower reverting to a more suitable distance. Chica Power was narrowly behind the selection in that recent race but was well held subsequently, while seven-time winner Hurricane Helen has been running well, although has yet to win with a rating higher than 60. In-form Comfort Line is already a four-time C&D winner so should show his new rider around.

EXCEEDING is a 16-race three-year-old maiden, but seemed to find his level from today's similarly low rating when running well over C&D in late September. Initially rated 75, he has clearly been disappointing but should get involved again under his same 10lb claimer and he contests an ordinary handicap. Morning Approach is a slow starter, but has won three races and has a good record around here. She was probably unsuited by easy ground at the Curragh recently, but had shown form this summer and can also compete. Tara Power ran well at Bellewstown recently, but has won just once from 37 runs.
