Passing Well is surely better than he managed when letting favourite backers down in a similar event at Newbury when last seen and could bounce back with trip and ground to suit. Belgarum and Abingworth are both on retrieval missions but could figure if their jumping improves.

ANNO POWER showed stacks of promise by winning two of her three starts in bumpers and is of high interest setting out over timber for the first time. A half-sister to a winner in this discipline, the Harry Fry-trained mare looks a bright prospect and commands serious attention granted the 7lb mares' allowance. Noahsgreatrainbow was a close second in a Listed bumper at Newbury when last seen and looks an obvious threat on that basis. Big Ginge and De Kingpin are also noteworthy contenders.

JERIKO DU REPONET looks just the type that could excel over fences this season for leading connections, having scored in a point-to-point previously. Unbeaten in three starts over hurdles last season before an excusable display when pulled up in the Supreme. The five-year-old sets a lofty standard on form and is preferred to fellow chasing newcomer Kansas Du Berlais, who had a decent pipe-opener on the Flat at Ascot last month. Twice a winner last season for new connections, Brookie could be interesting if taking to this discipline on the fourth attempt.

A highly consistent sort throughout last season, ZAMBEZI FIX was last seen scoring comfortably at Chepstow in April for which he has been raised 5lb. Bernard Llewellyn's charge has run well fresh in the past, and he can follow up at the main expense of Ooh Betty, who drops in class having finished runner-up in Listed company at Cheltenham last time out. A winner on debut over C&D in February before falling in the Adonis, Peking Opera is of interest on his return in this sphere, while the unexposed Lario cannot be ruled out either.

COPPERHEAD is mopping up in this sphere and arrives chasing a four-timer following wins at Plumpton, Chepstow and Aintree. The point-to-point scorer might be a bit of value for the shrewd Ben Pauling team.
