There was a lot to like about the way EAST INDIA DOCK (best price 2/1) stuck to the task to see off a useful fellow hurdle debutant (Hot Fuss) at Wincanton, and James Owen’s charge will have gained a lot of knowledge and experience from that display, with more to come.
Despite racing keenly, he jumped mostly well, and a stronger pace here should see him in a better light. I think the in-form James Owen has a really good juvenile on his hands, and I’m hopeful that he will have too many gears for My Noble Lord.
East India Dock is also a play for Racing Lee, whose tips are exclusively available on the oddschecker app. Click here to download it now and find the selections in the Tip section.

COME ON TEDDY (best price 3/1) hasn’t been seen since March earlier this year, but the 10-year-old is undoubtedly the most well-treated horse in the entire field, especially based on his hurdles debut form, and should be difficult to beat.
He’s 11lb lower than when he scored on his chase debut at Uttoxeter and is 10lb lower than when he finished third in the 2021 Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle. That is the best piece of form on offer in today’s contest.
The conditions and trip will suit, and Barry O’Neill is booked to ride. After just five Chase starts, Harry Derham’s stable debutant has more to come in this sphere, and his latest finishing kick could see him make a successful return to action.
