Useful Flat performer Beyond Your Dreams ran notably well on her own hurdling debut and while that recent Fairyhouse form is ordinary, finished quite eye-catchingly, although now tackles a better maiden. Total Look has a Flat rating of 87 and while he debuts over hurdles, has the ability to get involved. Wendrock cost 82,000gns last month but faces a tough task on jumps debut.

QUALIMITA cost a cool half-million euros following her impressive point-to-point win of April 2023 and should be ready on reappearance today. She followed up her pointing debut run with a fine placing in a Listed bumper last November and while absent since, reappears at an encouraging time of year and already has prior jumping experience. Magic Day ran well on her point-to-point debut last April and has since joined leading connections. A sister to her yard's Cheltenham Festival-placed Magic Daze, she too could be capable but faces the smart-looking selection. Green Sky and Cast A Spell have place claims while Leah's Contessa showed promise on her recent debut.

SOMEONE'S WISH is a busy and progressive four-year-old who reverts to hurdling rated 16lb lower than over fences. His initial form this year was ordinary and is winless from nine hurdle outings but improved when running over fences in recent months and is suited by today's sound surface. Last year's winner St Denis's Well is also rated higher over fences, although his form in recent months has been in-and-out. Distance-versatile, he ran well over hurdles last month but would appreciate softer ground. Four-year-old Love Me debuts in handicaps with a low rating and might progress while Giant Haystacks contested a Grade 3 hurdle on debut and ran well in a recent point-to-point, from which the runner-up scored subsequently.

Gordon Elliott has won this race seven times in the past decade and THE YELLOW CLAY was the pick of these in bumpers, winning a Listed race at Limerick and beating all bar Redemption Day in the Grade 1 at the Punchestown Festival. The Yeats gelding easily landed a maiden on his hurdling debut at Down Royal earlier this month and riding arrangements suggest he's the stable choice over two other maiden winners. Where's My Jet followed up a Killarney maiden win by making all in good style over this trip at Listowel and rates a threat along with Fleur In The Park, who kept good company in bumpers and made a successful start over hurdles at Wexford last month.

SA FUREUR won three times over hurdles and ran too badly to be true when a well-backed favourite for the 2023 Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival before switching to fences last term. He made the frame off a mark of 145 in the Grand Annual and appears fairly treated returning to hurdles. Sundial caught the attention of the stewards when keeping on well into second on his reappearance over a similar trip at Punchestown last month, while Londonofficecallin returns to hurdles off an attractive mark following Flat wins at Down Royal and Thurles. Penny Jar completed a hat-trick over hurdles in 2022 and advertised his claims when staying on well over 2m4f on his latest hurdle start at Gowran.

LIFE IN THE PARK is without a win in over two years, but is generally consistent in valuable handicaps and has a solid each-way chance. He was placed in Nationals at Ballinrobe and Kilbeggan last year and has again figured prominently this year at the Cheltenham Festival and when beaten less than two lengths last time in the Galway Plate. The yard remains in cracking form and The Short Go is another to consider after finishing second to another stablemate in Senior Chief at Cheltenham last month. Gordon Elliott saddles over half the field and riding arrangements suggest American Mike is the pick, while Yeah Man and Perceval Legallois are part of a strong Gavin Cromwell quartet.

SLADE STEEL is an exciting recruit to fences. The point-to-point winner took high rank over hurdles last season, winning the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham and landing a Grade 2 here over this trip, with Better Days Ahead over five lengths behind in fourth. That rival also won his only point-to-point start and went on to enjoy success at the Cheltenham Festival in the Martin Pipe. The other two runners didn't reach the same heights over hurdles, with Kinturk Kalanisi winning a maiden here and placing in valuable staying handicaps, while point-to-point winner Big Stage may progress from a recent run over fences.

There was little to choose between MUMMY DERRY and Meitheal when the latter won at Galway in September and slight preference is for the Willie Mullins-trained filly, who is a half-sister to Spillane's Tower. She again ran quite keenly when opening her account at Punchestown last month and hopefully can settle a bit better. Her stablemate Cameletta Vega made all for a convincing debut win at the Galway Festival, but needs to bounce back after disappointing in a Listed race at Gowran. Churchfield Sunset also won on debut at Cork, while Swing Davis impressed when winning a point-to-point at Loughanmore.
