Barrabooka made a promising start for Donald McCain when third at Carlisle on his first attempt over hurdles and is entitled to step forward from that display. That said, BIG ZOUK, a point-to-point winner in February, was purchased for 160,000 pounds shortly afterwards and is from the family of useful staying chaser Viconte Du Noyer. He gets the vote to make a winning start under Rules, while Sandscape and Bells Of Ufford head the remainder.

FLASH DU PISTOLET shaped well for a long way on his chasing debut at Kelso in October and was likely inconvenienced by the fences in the home straight being taken out due to the low sun. That was also his first outing in 10 months and he is expected to have more to offer. Ffos Las winner Ileny Royale is respected off a 5lb higher mark, while Socks Off and Emotional Roller are others to consider.

ROCKINASTORM returned to winning ways at Ludlow and only has a 2lb higher mark to contend with. Henry Daly's seven-year-old can cope with this step up in grade to record a double. Santonito could only manage sixth at this level at Bangor last month, but it would be no surprise to see him get closer off a 2lb lower mark. A lot more was expected of Are U Wise To That when well beaten at Cheltenham last time and he might be able to bounce back to get involved.

SCHMILSSON was well held in third at Newbury, but this represents a drop in grade and that should aid his cause. Olly Murphy's five-year-old struck over C&D two starts ago and if he can recapture that form, he could prove tough to beat. Yorkshire Lady was successful in a novice hurdle over track and trip in February and has run well on the level since, so it will be interesting to see how she fares on her first start in a handicap in this sphere. Royal King completes the shortlist.

ALI STAR BERT bounced back to form when filling second place at Southwell and the eight-year-old has to be of interest off the same mark here. Wal Buck's is an obvious threat having made the frame at Ayr a month ago and Lucinda Russell's charge should not be underestimated. Gold Emery edges out Latenightrumble and Breeze Of Wind to be best of the rest.
