Robins Field produced a much better effort to finish second at Cartmel in May and he should mount a bold bid off a 1lb lower rating. However, the vote goes to MUMBLES, who was beaten 11 lengths into second on his first start over fences at Ffos Las and it would be no surprise to see him take a step forward from that performance. Evan Williams' six-year-old can capitalise on his 1lb lower mark, while Iskar D'airy warrants a market check on his return from a long absence.

DIVA LUNA was victorious in both of her bumper starts, including her commanding Grade 2 victory at Aintree in April, and she now makes her first appearance over hurdles. If Ben Pauling's five-year-old can transfer that ability to this sphere, she will prove very difficult to beat. Jasmine D'airy changed hands for 120,000 pounds after making a successful bumper debut at Tipperary and she has to be taken seriously on her first outing for the Harry Derham yard. Metkayina is the pick of the remainder.

KADO DE JOIE, who made a winning return in a similar event over the extended 2m1f circuit at Fontwell last month, has a solid chance of following up, with just a 5lb rise in the handicap considered potentially lenient. With ground conditions ideal and the step up in trip also a likely source of improvement, the Nicky Henderson-trained four-year-old has plenty in his favour. The class-dropping Golden Maverick is feared most, although Followango can also figure back over the smaller obstacles.

All of these have questions to answer, but perhaps TWILIGHT GLORY can shine in this company. This can go the way of BUSHYPARK, who has gone well fresh in the past and ended last season with a promising runner-up effort over hurdles at Kelso. Conditions are likely to be in his favour and he can strike over fences for the first time since January 2023. A capable sort on his day, Le Ligerien has dropped 9lb below his last winning mark and must enter calculations, along with Thor De Cerisy.
