David Pipe's filly looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to get off the mark. Matwana has shown a fair amount of ability in her two jumping starts to date and was highly tried in Listed company when fourth at Newbury. It would be no surprise to see her get involved, while any market confidence behind Volakes would be interesting.

Hurlerontheditch struck by a head at Lingfield last month and he would be foolish to dismiss in his bid for a double. However, INSURRECTION looks the way to go. Paul Nicholls' seven-year-old has competed in deeper contests than this in both of his chase starts to date and a repeat of his runner-up effort in Listed company at Chepstow two starts ago would make him tough to beat. Idy Wood is better than he showed at Newbury last time.

Barrabooka took a step forward to score by six lengths at Wetherby earlier in the month and is likely to have more to offer, but he might find it tough to give his 6lb penalty away to ETERNAL ANGEL. Nicky Henderson's four-year-old shaped with lots of promise when making the frame on his first start over hurdles at Huntingdon and, with the likelihood of plenty more to come, he could be the one to beat. Jordans Cross is another to note.

BRIDES HILL defeated La Renommee when conceding 2lb at Huntingdon back in January before going on to land a bloodless success in a Grade 2 at the Punchestown Festival. She's not been seen since then and must now concede 6lb to La Renommee, but Gavin Cromwell's mare has an excellent record when fresh and can pick up where she left off. Fantastic Lady could be the main threat.

CHEMICAL WARFARE's winning run came to an end at Wetherby but David Pipe's gelding did not waste any time getting back on top, hitting the target at Newcastle. The progressive seven-year-old may well be allowed his own way in front and, if that is the case, he should be not overburdened by a 6lb raised mark. Finn Lough continues to knock at the door and could be sharpened up by the addition of cheekpieces. Onemorefortheroad appeals most of the remainder.

An excellent third in the Mersey Novices' Hurdle at Aintree in April, BUGISE SEAGULL sets a good standard and although he was already well held before being pulled up in a Grade 2 over fences at Newbury last month, this is significantly easier and he is hard to oppose. Pyffo and Quick Draw both get plenty of weight from the selection and can make things tough if the step up in trip catches him out.

This galloping course should suit the progressive NO NO FIZZ, who has been dominant in winning two of her three starts since joining Fergal O'Brien. Having scored with ruthless efficiency at Musselburgh, another bold showing is expected, despite an 8lb higher mark. Book Of Tales was a ready winner on his only previous outing over hurdles and returns from a break with bags of scope on his handicap debut. Lady D'arbanville is also feared cutting back in trip from a potentially lenient rating.
