UK Horse Racing Tips: Tramore

Willie Mullins has landed four of the last five renewals of this race and MORE COKO looks a likely sort for the champion trainer. He was an easy winner of a bumper at this track in August and is sure to be well schooled for his first jumping assignment. Henry de Bromhead runs two horses and riding arrangements indicate that Rockonliam is the first string. He fell at the last when right in contention in his sole point-to-point and is likely to show up well. There was some promise in Titanium's fifth in a maiden hurdle at Cork and he is a former winner on the Flat. The 102-rated Kilbarry Ce Ce is another pitching for prize money.

ROCKBROOK brought off a gamble at Galway in October and has prospects of posting another victory. The form of that race in Ballybrit is working out well and he will enjoy the forecast testing ground. Dark Note showed up nicely in third in a higher grade at Thurles before Christmas and he has form in the book on attritional ground. Diamond Nora is up in class, but the form of her Limerick success has been well franked. The more rain the better for Whiskeywealth, who actually won a rated novice chase on this card two years ago.

RACHEL'S SECRET has decent placed form in the book for Declan Queally and has switched to Henry de Bromhead after a long absence. She was runner-up in a mares' maiden hurdle at this track on her penultimate start and sets a fair standard. Unknown Entity has been a beaten favourite in two bumpers and is sent over hurdles by Willie Mullins. This will be the slowest ground he has encountered, but he is one of the leading protagonists. Machismo, Colorado Charlie and Mic Drop could be best of the remainder.

ROCHESTOWN is something of a Tramore specialist with form figures of '2113' for trainer Brendan Walsh. Josh Williamson's 7lb claim has him on an appealing mark for this assignment. Robindevidastar put in a professional performance to score at Punchestown in November. He has placed form on slower ground and has to rate a significant danger. Kiln Time goes best when the mud is flying and first-time blinkers could sharpen him up. Fire Force is a handicap debutant who has a shot at prize money, while Mini Getaway was a solid second over further at Limerick but would prefer better ground. Doyen For A Drink fell two out when leading in Limerick, so would have to enter calculations if getting a run.

Henry de Bromhead has said that he is working back from the Gold Cup with MONTY'S STAR and this looks a good starting point for him. There was little to knock about his form in 2024, with runner-up berths banked in Grade 1 races at Cheltenham and Punchestown behind Fact To File and Spillane's Tower respectively. He is ground versatile and has gone well off a break before. His stablemate Minella Indo won this a couple of years ago and he was a very notable third in last season's Grand National at Aintree. Willie Mullins runs four horses, with Classic Getaway possibly the pick of them. His form has been in and out, although he was second in this race last year.

CRECORA HILLS faced a tough task in a beginners' chase at Punchestown at November, where she came home in rear of mid-division. Plenty of winners have come out of that race, though, and this handicap hurdle winner on her penultimate start in Naas is fitted with a first-time hood on ground she will enjoy. Gabriel Ranger got off the mark over flights at Cork in August and is one to note tackling fences for the first time. Ballycashin disappointed when last seen over fences in Cork, but her third place in a beginners' chase at Gowran Park gives her claims. Be Fierce won a handicap hurdle at this track and has his chance along with 110-rated Splashing Out.

AODHAN MAY could be worth chancing, particularly on this slower ground. She won four handicap hurdles between February and April and showed a real fondness for testing going. She was off until unseating over fences in Galway at the end of October, but looks well worth another go off her much lower chase mark. Mahler Appeal is high enough in the weights, but he merited a hike after winning by 12 lengths in this discipline at Wexford in May. Game And Glory should be competitive after a third place in Thurles last month, while The Dooner Citizen would have better claims than most if getting in.
