Space Warrior found life difficult in a Grade 3 at this track, but does have a maiden hurdle success over C&D in the book. Butter Fingers was fancied for his jumping debut at Down Royal, only to fall, so more can be expected from him.

KIMI DE MAI is already being quoted for the Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and looks likely to be an above-average recruit for Willie Mullins. She won three times on the level in her native France. Sixandahalf also has quotes beside her name for the same Cheltenham contest. She was good enough to finish third in the Irish Cesarewitch at the Curragh in September and is intriguing on her first crack at hurdles. Daisy Fingall makes her debut for Henry de Bromhead and is a half-sister to the yard's leading chaser Captain Guinness. She adds further depth along with Gordon Elliott's Qualimita, who showed up nicely in two hurdles races.

WAITTILLITELLYOU has each-way prospects on his return to action for Edward Cawley. He is a lightly-raced sort who performed with credit in fourth in this race last year after an absence of more than nine months. He has a similar layoff to overcome, but his stable is showing some form. King Alexander has joined Willie Mullins from Nicky Henderson, for whom he won four times. He is up in trip and is dangerous, especially if strong in the market. This is a drop in class from the handicap hurdles that Fortunedefortunata has been running in and he is likely to have a say for Gordon Elliott and Danny Gilligan.

HUNTERS YARN is the class angle in his first handicap. He didn't figure on his seasonal reappearance in the Grade 2 Hilly Way at Cork last month, but should relish this company. It was just three runs back that he beat one of his main rivals, Path D'oroux, by 10 lengths in a beginners' chase at this track. Path D'oroux is one of three Gavin Cromwell representatives, with his Midnight It Is looking upwardly mobile after successes at this racecourse and in Navan. American Mike dropped back to this trip at this venue in November and finished third, so is capable of a good run. Fils D'oudairies bids to exploit a much lower chase mark in relation to his hurdles rating and isn't out of it.

Willie Mullins is due to saddle six horses in this race and TULLYHILL could prove best of them. He finished second on chasing debut here without landing a blow on the winner, but that horse (stablemate Majborough) is now odds-on favourite for the Irish Arkle at the Dublin Racing Festival. Tullyhill is the choice of Paul Townend. Asian Master was just half a length behind Tullyhill in third, so is entitled to be well involved. Lisnagar Fortune is of interest after putting it all together to win well over flights in Punchestown almost a year ago. What's Up Darling has had two spins over fences and should have more horses behind him than in front of him.

There could be a bit of scope in NOBLE BIRTH's mark of 121 over fences. He has had two runs since switching to Gavin Cromwell and came from well back to finish third over further in Cork. He reverted to hurdles when last seen at Cheltenham in November and ran well for a long way before dropping to third off a rating of 128. Bleu D'enfer was just pipped on the line at Clonmel last month and appeals as the type to improve from that over this trip. Banjaxed, who won his beginners' chase over a similar trip in Cork, and Navan winner Verdant Place are others to consider.

DE TEMPS EN TEMPS made a pleasing racecourse debut when second in an auction maiden hurdle at Listowel in September. This Court Cave gelding switches to a bumper and Declan Lavery should give him a good steer. Gordon Elliott runs a pair of horses and Harry Swan partners Skylight Hustle, who was a comfortable winner of a point-to-point in October. He ought to have a say in proceedings. Runcok, the Willie Mullins representative, took third in a Tramore bumper in November. More would be needed, but that is feasible. Elliott's Alfa Charlie and Andy Slattery's Parnell Street are newcomers who add further spice to the mix.
