BRIGADIER KAKURU showed pace in maidens before justifying favouritism on his handicap debut over C&D last month. That form received a couple of timely boosts when the placed horses, Movin And Groovin and Powerful Lady, both won here last Friday. Tommy McJohn probably holds the strongest piece of form having won a 5f Naas handicap off a mark of 77 for Michael O'Callaghan but has disappointed since, including twice here last month for current connections. Just Jump showed improved form when going close over C&D just before Christmas, while Suerte can go well if building on her debut in a maiden here last month.

Ado McGuinness' charge was beaten three lengths in third but was keeping on well at the finish and is probably better suited by this distance. Storm Eric's previous two wins were gained over 7f, although he also has placed form over this trip, and Rory Mulligan now claims 7lb to help alleviate a penalty for that recent victory. Runner-up Roderick again looks sure to be in the mix, while Reclaim had L'immortale behind when third to Cousin Shay over a mile here last Friday. Barretstown gained a fourth career win when scoring over C&D on his penultimate start.

COUSIN SHAY has progressed well since joining Natalia Lupini last autumn and gained the second of two wins here over a mile when making all for a decisive victory last Friday. The selection has never raced beyond a mile but, despite a 7lb penalty, this looks a good opportunity to test the water over further. Deed Pole has dropped to an attractive mark here this winter and had Tastyee behind when only beaten about a length over 1m4f last time. Miss Glenville indicated some ability when switched to this surface on the latest of three maiden starts and any market move should be noted.
