PURE STEEL shaped nicely here last month and can step forward now. The Yeats gelding finished fourth to a decent sort in Sky Lord on his track debut having won a point-to-point last March. That form looks strong with the winner finishing fourth in Grade 2 company since and the runner-up, Kappa Jy Pyke, winning at Punchestown on Sunday. Luker's Tipple looks like the obvious danger after finishing runner-up on his hurdling debut at Punchestown. Sean Mc, a half-brother to six-time winner Killiney Court, is a newcomer to note.
Prediction : 1st Pure Steel 2nd Lukers Tipple 3rd Sean Mc

WARDENS WHISPER may be able to turn the tables on Liberated Light. The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding went down by half a length to that rival at Limerick over Christmas and is now 4lb better off. He got caught in a pocket turning for home there and didn't help his rider by hanging right. Once he straightened up late on, he finished well and looks capable of striking off this mark. Liberated Light is entitled to be a big player again, despite his 6lb rise. Walk Of The Roses is capable of better than she showed on her Irish debut at Thurles and could get closer now.
Prediction : 1st Wardens Whisper 2nd Liberated Light 3rd Walk Of The Roses

Not a strong maiden hurdle and AUTOPORTRAIT should prove hard to beat after a couple of solid placed efforts. The French import bumped into a nice looking sort in Goraibhmaithagat on his Irish debut in Navan and it also looked a hot contest in which he was third to Laafi at Limerick. He takes a big jump up in trip but it looks like a drop in class. The Story So Far sets the standard off his mark of 113. He ran well when chasing home Doitforjane in handicap company at Limerick. Masterboy Davis has been disappointing but might get closer in this company.
Prediction : 1st Autoportrait 2nd The Story So Far 3rd Masterboy Davis

This looks like a nice opportunity for CAST A SPELL. She ran well in a decent conditions race last time when third to Aurora Vega at Fairyhouse on New Year's Day. The Mastercraftsman mare also run a solid race when fourth in handicap company off this mark at Navan previously and Cian Quirke is back on board to take off a useful 5lb. Ad Caelum comes here in fine form and looks an obvious danger. She has won two of her last three but has to defy an 8lb hike for her victory at Limerick. Deons Diamond has been running better over fences but could be place material here.
Prediction : 1st Cast A Spell 2nd Ad Caelum 3rd Deons Diamond

MIGHTY OAK LAD has gained good experience in handicap company and looks up to winning one of these restricted beginners chases now. The Doyen gelding kept on without troubling the front two when third to Individualiste at Navan last month and this is a nice race for him, for horses rated 100 or less over hurdles. John The Diva ran well in a similar contest at Tramore, when third on his chase debut, and looks like an obvious danger. The Charles Byrnes-trained On Your Way has shown glimpses of ability over timber and is one to note on his chasing bow.
Prediction : 1st Mighty Oak Lad 2nd John The Diva 3rd On Your Way

ROLLY BOWLEY BOY ran into a progressive rival in Folly Master at Punchestown on New Year's Eve and may get his turn now. The Carlotamix gelding made a bold bid from the front there and despite getting 3lb for that effort, he is capable of landing a race of this standard. Global Export comes here in winning form and has to be respected. The Golden Horn gelding got up late on to win his beginners chase at Down Royal and should be competitive off this mark of 118. Top-weight Street Value is tried in blinkers and may be capable of better now down in grade over fences.
Prediction : 1st Rolly Bowley Boy 2nd Global Export 3rd Street Value

ADELA ICON is obviously interesting here on her first start for Willie Mullins. The Snow Sky mare was runner-up in a couple of bumpers back in the summer of 2023 for Harry Kelly. Temple Bloodstock's Aubrey McMahon has done well with his purchases in recent seasons. Lau And Shaz has strong recent form and rates the main danger. Gavin Cromwell's charge was a promising fifth on her hurdling debut last time, having been placed in two bumpers previously. Former Flame was also placed in two bumpers, towards the start of the season, and has to come into calculations.
Prediction : 1st Adela Icon 2nd Lau And Shaz 3rd Former Flame
