Apiarist boosted that form when scoring at Chelmsford last week and he looks the main threat again, while Dragon Icon is another to keep an eye on.

James Tate's five-year-old could be up to defying a career-high mark before potentially going back up in class. Moonspirit was victorious in good style at Southwell on her penultimate start and a reproduction of that level of form would give her every chance. Of the remainder, Glorious Angel makes the most appeal with Tom Marquand booked.

With a previous course-and-distance victory aiding his cause, he has lots in his favour to go in again. Marchogion warrants a market check on his handicap bow.

Coachello capitalised on a tumbling mark at Wolverhampton last month and he's feared most, ahead of the hat-trick seeking Misty Grey.

Midnight Lion is chasing a fourth consecutive victory over C&D and the five-year-old is effectively only 3lb higher than his triumph here six days ago if taking Amie Waugh's 3lb claim into consideration. Karl Burke's colt had little difficulty in opening his account on his stable bow at this track recently and there should be more to come. King's Code is also noted.

Recent C&D winner Dreams Adozen merits respect raised just 3lb in the handicap, but ROARING LEGEND could be the answer. The son of Roaring Lion hadn't been seen on the Flat since winning at Pontefract in September 2023, but it was worth the wait as he bolted up over 1m6f at Wolverhampton earlier this month. A 10lb rise will ask sterner questions of him, as will the step up in trip, but he's not fully exposed in this sphere and could have more to offer. Cello heads the remainder.

Unexposed four-year-old BRAZILIAN ROSE recorded her second C&D success on the bounce last Saturday and, given the manner in which she won that day, the 5lb penalty she must shoulder is unlikely to halt further progress. Hiatus bumped into an in-form rival at Southwell recently and should go close from an unchanged rating, while Strong Power continues to edge down the weights and isn't one to underestimate following a creditable third at Wolverhampton three weeks ago.
