Making his first start for 650 days, THOMAS MOR exceeded expectations when scoring over hurdles at Wincanton last month and a switch to new connections may have given him a new lease of life. A former point-to-point winner, he looks just the type who could excel over the larger obstacles and he is narrowly preferred to Grand Albert, who has a 10lb rise to overcome for an easy success at Wetherby. Now in the hands of trainer Joe Tizzard and a determined winner over C&D on his penultimate outing, Rock My Way cannot be ruled out either.

Nells Son has taken his form to a new level this season and he is bound to be popular on the back of edging out subsequent winner Matata at Kelso last month. The 10-year-old could only manage fourth off 14lb lower in this contest last year, though, and preference is for CALICO, who finished runner-up 12 months ago off the same mark. Dan Skelton's charge may not be the most consistent, but he showed what he is capable of when scoring at Cheltenham in October. General Medrano and Stormin Crossgales are noted too.

Western Knight (second) got the better of Yellow Car (third) when the pair met over 3m at Cheltenham last month, and the former should confirm his superiority over that rival. That said, point-to-point winner MOON ROCKET gets the nod. He impressed when bolting up over an extended 3m on just his second start over hurdles at Southwell recently and, though more will be required here, this progressive stayer is overlooked at your peril. Ma Shantou is also noteworthy.

WYENOT looked a mare to keep very much on the right side of when readily making all over C&D on her first attempt over the trip last month, and a similar display should see her go well. Kateira was far from disgraced when fifth in the Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle over 3m at Ascot and she commands attention, while Jetara is capable of playing a hand in a race like this.

The Changing Man deserves to win a big handicap, having finished second in both the Rehearsal and Silver Cup this season. He is not doing his mark any favours, though, and might have to settle for another supporting role behind FORWARD PLAN. Anthony Honeyball's nine-year-old was beaten by the narrowest of margins in this race 12 months ago, boasts really strong course form, and is 4-8 over the trip. Tightenourbelts arrives in good nick chasing a hat-trick and might not be done improving over fences yet. Towards the other end of the weights, Idalko Bihoue could reward each-way support.

HOMME PUBLIC has to concede weight all round, but boasts a really interesting profile for a shrewd yard. A Grade 2 winner over fences and successful over the larger obstacles at this track last season, the eight-year-old bounced back to form when scoring over C&D last month and is effectively only 1lb higher when taking into account Toby Wynne's 3lb claim. Punctuation is a danger debuting for Nicky Henderson, and a big run from Colours On Canvas would come as no surprise either.
