14:05 Sedgefield

There is jumps racing at Ludlow, Sedgefield and Fairyhouse on Wednesday 5th February while Kempton stages an all-weather meeting this evening.

Today’s Best Bets from Steve Ryder

This looks a competitive 0-100 handicap hurdle but preference goes to ZWICKY (best priced at 7/2) who has shown his best form at Sedgefield. His previous five runs at the track have resulted in form figures of 11122 including a victory over fences here in October off a mark of 101.

Zwicky finished 2nd here last time over fences off a mark of 103 but now reverts to hurdling off a 3lb lower mark. If he can replicate that form then he should run well and can record a fourth career success at this track.

17:00 Kempton

The James Fanshawe trained HELP ME RHONDA (best priced at 7/2) won over this course and distance in October and can be excused her effort here a month ago when she clipped heels late on. The four-year-old won by a neck here off a mark of 55 before catching the eye here when eventually finishing 7th last time.

Help Me Rhonda was keen in the early stages of that race after a 96-day break but was making good headway before clipping heels 2f out. She was allowed to come home in her own time after that and now drops back down in class into this easier race. Rory Mulligan takes over on board in this apprentice handicap and she can hopefully get back to winning ways.
