The six-year-old has improved with each of his three hurdle starts to date and could take another step forward, which would make him very tough to beat. Tripoli Flyer justified short odds in easy style at Musselburgh at the start of the month and would be foolish to dismiss, despite this representing a considerable step up in grade. Celtic Dino is the pick of the remainder.

Hyland failed to complete the hat-trick when occupying the runner-up berth in Grade 1 company at Kempton on Boxing Day, but Nicky Henderson's grey is likely to have his supporters now that he drops back into a handicap. However, a chance can be taken on BEACHCOMBER, who accounted for Golden Son (third) by just over 10 lengths over track and trip in December and only has a 9lb higher mark to contend with. With a repeat of that performance, he could be the one to beat. Lowry's Bar has had a fine campaign and is another to keep an eye on.

Keep Running made all to win his last two starts and although he commands respect, a 6lb rise for last month's win over 2m at Ffos Las demands more of him back over this trip from a career-high mark so far. BOURBALI, on the other hand, runs off 2lb higher than when he won over 2m2f here last October and could be worth chancing back at this venue for an in-form yard. Ideal Des Bordes is unexposed over fences and is another must for a betting check.

The runner-up when introduced in a Listed race at Cheltenham last month, OUR BOY STAN has bags of potential and could be tough to deal with now he has some experience to draw upon. Moneygarrow also filled second place in a Listed event at Ascot most recently and is a notable threat with the sights lowered here. Fellow bumper winners One Knight, Spectacularsunrise and Storming George are other players under penalties, with the first-named feared most of that trio after a cosy success at Huntingdon 16 days ago.
