With those aspects in mind, DILIGENT HARRY (fourth) can turn the Lingfield form around with his old rival and appears ideally primed with his bid for back-to-back wins in this race. Irish raiders Valiant Force and Ostraka add further depth and hold solid each-way chances.

The ready winner of the Floodlit Stakes at Kempton last November, the son of Fastnet Rock is a late developer who still has untapped potential and is hard to ignore given the yard's big-race credentials. Three-time Listed race winner Royal Champion is an obvious threat, while Persica and Champagne Prince are also strong contenders.

CELLO has run well in defeat of late and having been primed by a brace of third-placed finishes at this level, there are solid grounds to give the Andrew Balding-trained five-year-old another chance granted his proven reliability. Dream Harder is another key player in this company, given he has been placed in this grade off the same mark before now. Path To Dubai and the still unexposed Glen Buck are others to keep a close eye on.

He looks well placed to record his third career victory, while last-time-out Wolverhampton scorer He's A Gentleman isn't ruled out either.

WHERE'S FREDDY may have been worth more than the winning margin suggests when scoring by a length at Wolverhampton last month. Stuart Williams' five-year-old competes off a 5lb higher mark but that is unlikely to prevent him from following up. Powdering struck over C&D last week and holds an obvious chance, providing this quick time around doesn't pose her any problems. Beattie Is Back sports first-time cheekpieces and is another to watch out for.

ALRAZEEN ran a career-best when completing the hat-trick in a deeper event at Kempton earlier in the month and the handicapper might have been kind to only put him up 3lb for that success. With a previous C&D victory further aiding his cause, he will prove very tough to beat. Legendary Day sprung a 66/1 surprise at Lingfield at the start of the month and will be looking to show that was no fluke off a 4lb higher rating. Dreams Adozen looks best of the rest.

Redhot Whisper was held in high regard as a juvenile, evidenced when sent to the Futurity Trophy on just his third start. It didn't work out there and he's yet to break the maiden, but there was enough in his latest Newcastle effort to suggest there are races to be won with him. Joseph has proven himself to be a consistent performer, but GENERAL ADMISSION shades preference. The Kameko colt failed to build on a promising debut effort when only fourth at Newcastle, but that came following a near three-month absence and he can show more now.

Kingdom Of Time hit the woodwork over C&D last time out and should not be underestimated.

A chance can be taken on SHAHBAZ, who caught the eye when running on into third at Kempton recently. The son of Free Eagle was denied a clear run at a crucial stage that day and, if avoiding traffic problems here, he is handicapped to go very close. Cephalus rattled the woodwork at Chelmsford last month and is an obvious candidate off 1lb higher, while The Cookstown Cafu and Mr Mistoffelees are just two others to consider.
