There is jumps racing at Huntingdon, Doncaster and Leopardstown on Sunday 2nd March.

Today’s Best Bets from Steve Ryder

This looks a weak 0-105 handicap hurdle and I am willing to take a chance on SHAN’T WAIT (best priced at 11/2) on his handicap debut. The Charlie Longsdon stable have been in good form recently with a 30% strike rate in the past two weeks and this lightly raced five-year-old could prove well treated off an opening mark of 101.

Shan’t Wait caught the eye last time staying on to finish 4th at 150/1 over 2 miles at Newbury shaping like this step up in trip to 2m5f would bring about improvement in this grade and he can win this with David retaining the ride.

3:07 Doncaster- Shan’t Wait 11/2 (1pt)

15:17 Huntingdon

Topweight CLUAIN AODHA (best priced at 15/8) made all over this course and distance last time and she should hold strong claims off only a 4lbs higher mark. The Neil King trained mare had run with credit so far this season over fences but seemed to relish the return to hurdling to defy odds of 12/1 here last time.
Cluain Aodha jumped particularly well that day and she is expected to prove hard to beat if Paul O’Brien can replicate the front running tactics used last time.
