Sainte Doctor returned a ready winner when upped in distance at Fakenham and she can land a blow, but PILSDON PEN will be sharper for last month's reappearance in the mud at Lingfield. A dual winner at Wincanton last season, this faster surface will suit Jeremy Scott's charge and he should have more to offer over fences.

She may well have finished closer with a more fluent display of jumping and looks on a feasible mark based on that evidence. Les's Jersey Royal was no match for King Of The Lake when second at Wincanton, but the latter has subsequently landed a hat-trick so that form looks strong. Summerleaze is worth noting too.

Olly Murphy's lightly-raced eight-year-old must enter calculations, but a 7lb higher mark could leave him vulnerable. With that in mind, it could be worth chancing the downgraded BALHAMBAR, who looked progressive prior to his below-par 10th at Musselburgh. Golden Maverick and Klic Boum are others to consider.

Joe Tizzard's charge makes plenty of appeal racing off an unchanged mark and he's taken to fend off chase debutant Dancing In Brazil. The Blue Bresil gelding arrives on the back of a solid hurdles third at Huntingdon and a similar performance will likely see him go close. The downgraded Jetronic is also noted.

CHICAGO STORM has built up enough credit to suggest that a recent below-par effort over 2m at Warwick was no more than a blip and he would have very strong claims in this weak event if back on song. Wolfspear has slipped to a mark just 1lb above when he last won and he warrants respect for an in-form yard, while Miss Kassiopi and Dish Of The Day are also considered.

This looks a trappy affair so only a tentative vote goes to VIROFLAY. He was last seen fairly bolting up in a point-to-point and commands the utmost respect back in this sphere.
