PIERRE ROYAL and Bishopton are the standout contenders, with preference for the Dermot Weld-trained former. Out of a dual Listed winner, he came in for plenty of market support when second on debut over the course and distance a fortnight ago. Twice narrowly beaten into second at Dundalk in December, Bishopton was last seen finishing fifth of 15 in a competitive affair at Naas. Starting off for Pat Foley and in a first-time hood, the Elzaam five-year-old was a career-best fifth when last seen over the course and distance a fortnight ago. Harry The Rogue was a place behind and reopposes now after winning comfortably at Killarney last week. Sam Coen retains the ride on the Andy Slattery-trained four-year-old and it'll come as no surprise if he manages to follow up. Ahead of the aforementioned pair when second in that contest, Gianh River is sure to have plenty of supporters despite going off at 66/1 on that occasion.

LEMSAIRBAT won a slowly run 1m4f race in Compiegne last autumn and shaped well on her first start for current connections when third behind better-fancied stablemate Beset over an extended 1m2f at Sligo earlier this month. She should progress from that run and appears well treated here at the weights. Deressa won a maiden here last month and has been left on a mark of 82, while Elegant Madame has been placed a number of times both on turf and the all-weather over the past 12 months.

DISCO BOY showed some promise in bumpers, including at Clonmel last autumn, and, following three maiden runs over shorter trips, he finished well up the hill at Navan when third to Elle Dorado Rock over 1m5f with a couple of these rivals behind. Champion apprentice James Ryan again claims a valuable 3lb and he gets the vote ahead of Empress Alma. She progressed in handicaps when gradually upped in trip last year and recorded her third win over 2m at Thurles last October. Gracesolution was in good form at Dundalk earlier this year and is another to note.

YOU MAKE ME SMILE opened her account over hurdles at Clonmel last month and followed up when switched to the Flat over an extended 1m5f at Sligo. The Pat Fahy-trained mare beat Makaiah by just over a length with Dumb Love and Bynx further behind, and that form was well advertised at Navan on Saturday when Makaiah gained a deserved win. Black Soul is bidding for an unusual hat-trick having won a point-to-point and a Down Royal maiden hurdle.
