I AM RIVER is interesting on his return to action. The Getaway gelding pulled up on his debut run in a Fairyhouse bumper in January 2024 when the rider reported he lost his action. He had gone to post a well supported odds-on shot that day so obviously shows a bit at home. There are a few of these that have been knocking on the door. Keep Kool Coko ran a solid race when chasing home Trasna Na Pairce at Clonmel last time and sets the standard off a mark of 112. In The Trenches has been placed over fences on his last three runs and is another to note, reverting to hurdles. Prediction : 1st I Am River 2nd Keep Kool Coko 3rd In The Trenches

TOAD HALL sets a good standard here off his mark of 127 and should take a bit of beating. The Fame And Glory gelding won his maiden hurdle at Downpatrick in late March and wasn't disgraced in a decent novice event at Cheltenham last month. This looks easier. Cooke's Lass won on her debut at Wexford early last month and remains unexposed. She looks like the danger. Huntsgrove was a game winner at Sligo last time but looks to have more on his plate now. Prediction : 1st Toad Hall 2nd Cookes Lass 3rd Huntsgrove

Not the strongest looking contest and this track may suit front-runner BLUE REED. He made a couple of bold bids around Fairyhouse and Punchestown earlier in the year when scooting well clear only to be collared late on. They might find it hard to peg him back around here. Loup De Tallane was an impressive winner on his last visit here and could be a danger on his return to action. Give Him A Chance had just been headed when falling at Limerick last month and off just a 2lb higher mark he's another that has to come into the mix.Prediction : 1st Blue Reed 2nd Loup De Tallane 3rd Give Him A Chance

MOULANE WEST was a very easy winner when getting his own way in front at Sligo 19 days ago and may be able to follow up despite an 11lb hike. The Jet Away gelding was recording his first victory since a similarly impressive bumper win back in July 2021 and is a talented sort when things fall right. Malbas won at Fairyhouse on his penultimate outing and ran a solid race when fourth at Down Royal last time. He could be a danger. Jerrari wasn't beaten far when fourth at Wexford last time and can pick up prize-money again.Prediction : 1st Moulane West 2nd Malbas 3rd Jerrari

A competitive looking contest and ASPUROFTHEMOMENT may be able to keep his winning run going. The Ocovango gelding has won twice over hurdles after joining Gavin Cromwell having won a point-to-point for Eugene O'Sullivan. He went up to a mark of 120 after his cosy success at Bellewstown last month and that is the top mark for this restricted beginners chase. Plenty of Henry de Bromhead's improve for going chasing and Nouvotic has to be respected having earned a mark of 117 over timber. St Cuthbert's Cave has a hurdles mark of 118 and is another for the shortlist.Prediction : 1st Aspurofthemoment 2nd Nouvotic 3rd St Cuthberts Cave

CHEERFUL CHAP won twice over hurdles last year and has been a model of consistency since over fences. The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding has been placed on all five outings since returning last December and only found Canal End too good when stepping up to 3m last time in a valuable Navan handicap. Freddie Robdal returned to form when successful over a similar trip here last time, but it looks significant that Darragh O'Keeffe now partners stablemate She's A Fine Wine. Nt Field Minnesota scored on her chasing debut at Killarney last August but was let down by her jumping when disappointing on both outings since.Prediction : 1st Cheerful Chap 2nd Shes A Fine Wine 3rd Freddie Robdal

NADIA'S BOY won a point-to-point for Aidan Fitzgerald at Ballysteen last year and now makes his debut under Rules for the champion trainer. The selection is by Getaway out of a winning daughter of King's Theatre and market support would add to confidence. Gordon Elliott introduces Rapid Redemption and the Doyen gelding is from the family of two useful bumper performers, while Look And Sea is another interesting newcomer being out of the Montjeu mare Inquisitive Look who has already produced the smart Fiddlerontheroof and Ifiwerearichman. Diamond Tipp was runner-up three times in bumpers last year but disappointed here on her reappearance.Prediction : 1st Nadias Boy 2nd Rapid Redemption 3rd Look And Sea
