The biggest danger may emerge from Mystic Moment, who has filled the runner-up spot on both outings to date, ahead of likely improver Orion's Belt.

ANZAC DAY isn't the most straightforward, having needed plenty of cajoling before staying on late for fifth over 1m6f at Goodwood on his handicap bow. Saying that, he has a much easier opportunity today and, with this greater test of stamina expected to suit, Andrew Balding's charge may prove the one to side with. Hydroplane finished an encouraging third over 2m at Chester on his first start since 2023 and looks to have retained his ability. He could pose a bigger threat than last month's Doncaster winner Clockmaker.

Another good effort looks assured given Jack Nicholls can utilise his 7lb allowance on this occasion, while the unexposed Iconnic returned the willing winner over 6f at Leicester and merits consideration.
