The form of JUGGERNAUT's most recent success at Stratford in October hasn't worked out particularly well, but he was in command that day - and a subsequent 10lb rise might not be enough to stop him from going in again. Roadshow struggled at Warwick latest but he could improve for the switch to handicaps, with cheekpieces applied for the first time. Colonel Lesley has been successful over this C&D previously, and is another to note on his second start for the Richard Hawker team. Prediction : 1st Juggernaut 2nd Roadshow 3rd Colonel Lesley

BLUE TEMPUS hasn't shown much on the Flat this season, but he makes his hurdling debut in a moderate heat. Alan King has been amongst the winners of late too, so it would come as no great surprise were he to take the necessary step forward. Manyana Blue is another that arrives following a spell on the level and she's worth considering, while Return With Gold stands should prove best of the pair with previous hurdling experience, having finished a distant third at Hexham recently. Prediction : 1st Blue Tempus 2nd Manyana Blue 3rd Return With Gold

BYZANTIUM was able to record a commanding success at Warwick last time out and, with the potential of more to come at this longer trip, he could defy a 9lb rise to follow up. Time To Bite hasn't been seen over hurdles for some time now, but he has been in fine form of late over fences and must enter calculations. Golden Echo was in contention when being brought down at Fontwell recently and the unexposed five-year-old could also have a say. Prediction : 1st Byzantium 2nd Time To Bite 3rd Golden Echo

STILETTO was far from fluent on his stable bow/seasonal return at Warwick recently but it will be interesting to see if his supporters return, with champion jockey Sean Bowen retaining the partnership. Sophie Leech's gelding lurks on an attractive mark and the reapplication of cheekpieces could prove a shrewd move. Privilege arrives on the back of a C&D second, his best effort for current connections, and he's feared most raised 2lb in the handicap. Ghost Jury and Prairie Queen are others to consider. Prediction : 1st Stiletto 2nd Privilege 3rd Ghost Jury

Although winless since scoring at this venue in September 2022, ROMANOR has shown enough in recent months to suggest he's ready to strike. Runner-up efforts at Fontwell and Stratford last month prove that the veteran is in good heart and compensation could be on the cards. Limerick Leader bounced back to form when a narrow second over C&D 20 days ago and he is a feasible alternative, along with Dancingontheedge, who drops in trip.Prediction : 1st Romanor 2nd Limerick Leader 3rd Dancingontheedge

Gateau De Miel ended a long losing run when on target over fences at Stratford a week ago and is able to compete from an unchanged mark back over the smaller obstacles. Spitalfield posted a better effort when runner-up at Worcester latest, though he remains 5lb higher than when last successful, and preference is for the less exposed KEEL STRAND. Paul Nicholls' charge won a novices event over these hurdles on his first outing after wind surgery and looks one to keep on the right side of now handicapping for the first time.Prediction : 1st Keel Strand 2nd Gateau De Miel 3rd Spitalfield

ILLOGICAL LOGIC fell here last month when looking the likely winner. However, he made amends by making all over C&D on his latest start and Christian Williams' charge looks worth sticking with in his current frame of mind, despite a 7lb rise. A winner at Huntingdon in May, Ann D'arabie finished second over the same C&D when attempting to follow up next time. She can make her presence felt once more, as can Eightytwo Team, with the pair being closely matched. Prediction : 1st Illogical Logic 2nd Ann Darabie 3rd Eightytwo Team
