SHAMAN CHAMPION might just be able to give weight and a beating to these rivals. Although that's no easy feat, especially for these youngsters, the Shaman colt made a big impression when successful on debut and he certainly wasn't disgraced when beaten four and three-quarter lengths in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot last month. Comic Hero left his debut performance well behind when a close-up third at Salisbury and any further improvement should put him in the mix, while Astrazar also merits a place on the shortlist.

ABUNDANCE has an attractive, progressive profile and did well to overcome a slow start to win at Lingfield last time. He now makes his handicap debut off a mark of 82 and might be able to complete the double. Sea Founder looks to be learning on the job and has a definite chance lining up off the same rating as when fourth on his handicap bow at Haydock, while Silver Trumpet is another respected player. Following wind surgery, there was much to like about his latest second over 7f here.

Harry Charlton's four-year-old split 88 and 89-rated fillies on her Yarmouth introduction, giving weight away, and although not quite at that level since, a figure of 75 would appear lenient. Throw last year's winner Giselles Defence into the mix too.

Tazaman and BELLATOR BULLET both arrive on three-timers, but the latter's form is stronger because he accounted for an upwardly-mobile subsequent winner at Nottingham. Alice Haynes' three-year-old has stamina in abundance and can continue on his upward curve. Jimmy Mark has hit the crossbar three times since his successful comeback at Bath and won't be far away. Van Aert's progression came to an abrupt halt at Sandown, but blinkers now replace cheekpieces.
