Having justified favouritism on her nursery bow at Catterick 13 days ago, there should be more to come from OASIS DIAMOND. A 6lb rise from the assessor looks workable for the daughter of Oasis Dream and a brace may beckon. Reopposing second Gillali Lass subsequently filled the same position at the North Yorkshire venue and isn't taken lightly meeting the selection off 1lb better terms. Kunaa may fare best of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Oasis Diamond 2nd Gillali Lass 3rd Kunaa

Yy Nation should have learned plenty from his opening bid in a class 3 maiden at York last month and this drop into class 5 company should see him in a better light. However, Karl Burke's charge could prove vulnerable to a newcomer, with PROUD NATION topping the bill. The Sioux Nation colt fetched 320,000 euros at the Arqana breeze-up sale in May and connections will be hoping to recoup some of that expenditure here. Fellow debutant Urgent Call is also worth a market check.
Prediction : 1st Proud Nation 2nd Yy Nation 3rd Urgent Call

Despite weakening into sixth over 2m at Kempton last month, NIGHT HORN displayed more verve in first-time cheekpieces. A drop in trip and 2lb in the ratings could prove fruitful for Michael Keady's gelding and a breakthrough victory could be on the cards. Made All is likely to prove popular after regaining the winning thread at Catterick six days ago and merits respect under a 5lb penalty. Ana Emaraaty is the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Night Horn 2nd Made All 3rd Ana Emaraaty

Trainer Jim Goldie won this in 2022 and has chances again here with Ayr fourth Jm Jhingree, who may make the running if he gets away smartly. Brazilian Belle should prove popular after her victory at Thirsk and a 6lb penalty may not stop her challenging, but MISS BRAZEN is still preferred. A three-and-a-quarter length winner at Thirsk in June, she was only beaten a head off 1lb lower despite losing a shoe at Doncaster and could get back to winning ways.
Prediction : 1st Miss Brazen 2nd Brazilian Belle 3rd Jm Jhingree

Trojan Sun has won two races from 17 starts, but both of those were here, one over shorter and one over further. He has to bounce back after a poor run at Southwell but may do better at his favourite course. SIMPLE STAR won over hurdles at Perth earlier in the month and is expected to go well, having won off 2lb higher in the past, leaving Young Merlin as an interesting alternative on his first start for Rebecca Menzies.
Prediction : 1st Simple Star 2nd Trojan Sun 3rd Young Merlin

Keep Me Stable completed a course double at the start of the month, but is 4lb higher than his latest success and may need to take another step forward. With that in mind, MERESIDE MADNESS gets the vote. The Barrons' four-year-old made his way through the field to run out a length and a half victor at Thirsk last time and can defy his 3lb rise. Arbitration isn't ruled out either.
Prediction : 1st Mereside Madness 2nd Keep Me Stable 3rd Arbitration

BALMERINO flew home late to be denied by just under a length over 7f at Ayr last time, shaping as if this step back up in trip would be a good move. Lucinda Russell's charge competes off an unchanged rating and could take a step forward to record his first career success. Scarriff is a previous course winner who is 2lb lower than his latest sixth at Pontefract and can go well, while Elvetham is another to keep an eye on.
Prediction : 1st Balmerino 2nd Scarriff 3rd Elvetham
