LAWMANS BLIS has yet to really threaten in two starts for Ian McInnes but he's sure to benefit from a return to further. The seven-year-old is now 7lb lower than his last C&D win and it would come as no great surprise were he to bounce back. Endofastorm will appreciate a switch to the all-weather following a couple of below-par runs on turf, while Irv is most appealing of the remainder.

A switch to nursery company almost paid dividends for CALAFIORI, who finished an extremely unfortunate second at Thirsk last Tuesday. George Boughey's gelding is able to compete from an unchanged mark and compensation could await the son of Ardad. Carefree Dream and Campenaerts have been shown clear ability in novice/maiden events and both are worth considering ahead of their nursery debuts.

JOWALLA has occupied third place on each of her starts to date, both at Newbury, but stepping up to 7f may well suit and Tom Dascombe's filly is fancied to go a couple of places better. Rod Millman has a pair of chances with Lyra Lea and Creciente but the former would appear to have stronger claims. Space Bear is a half-sister to a useful winner and should be monitored closely in the betting ahead of her racecourse debut.

Arlecchino's Rex is the sole C&D winner in this field, but that was his only victory from 11 starts and his recent form leaves him with a bit to find. Dandy G Boy has his first start for Warren Greatrex and he could surprise a few if that brings any improvement, but FREEDOM BAY could be the one. Sent off favourite at Windsor last time, she missed the start and then pulled too hard that day, but off 2lb lower she could do a lot better.

If IGNITION can find a little improvement on his latest efforts on the all-weather he could prove hard to beat. Parisian Phoenix was fourth at Ripon last time out and is likely to go well on her handicap debut for a shrewd stable, while Retraction may prove best of the older horses returning to a track he has placed at before.

FANCY DANCER has improved with experience, winning and finishing second here before her Bath victory last time out. She has been put up 4lb for that, but was value for more than the official margin and could follow up under the same jockey. Hidden Verse escapes a penalty after his easy win in an apprentice handicap at Chepstow and is an obvious danger, leaving South Dakota Sioux as next best.
