He has the ability to be a factor reverting to flights. Power Of Words has finished second in his last couple of maiden hurdles at Perth and Downpatrick which gives him claims, but leaves him vulnerable to a useful sort. Guided By You and newcomer Riverwoods are others in the mix for a cheque.

Dropping back in trip could suit Willie Mullins' KARA DE THAIX. She gave best in third before the final flight of a 2m4f mares' maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in January and the form has been franked. Paul Townend is on board her stablemate Dysart Dasher, who could make no impression on the leaders in third at Downpatrick. The suspicion is that there is more to come from this Flemensfirth gelding. Time In A Bottle can build upon fourth places over flights at Cork and Killarney. The 105-rated Half Past Tipsy and Backwithyourown, who has plenty of bumper experience, are in with a shout of prize money.

ANGELSWORKNOVRTIME won a division of this race by 11 lengths last year and signalled a return to form this season when taking the runner-up berth at Sligo just under a fortnight ago. Farrokh was performing consistently over fences but hasn't been at the same level since reverting to the smaller obstacles. His sole victory came over flights at Tipperary in May last year, though, so perhaps he can put it all together again. My Good Pal wasn't beaten overly far into fifth on his penultimate start at this track which gives him claims. Several of these horses sport new headgear, in a bid to spark improvement, so a market check is advisable.

NEWPORT kept on well for fourth at Wexford three weeks ago and, based on that improved effort, he ought to appreciate this extra yardage. Demanding Gerry couldn't land a glove on the winner at Downpatrick, but ran a fair race in second. That was a nice step forward and her stable has hit form. Jaadil was a somewhat remote second in Bellewstown, but the winner was well handicapped so there was merit in her performance.

SWELLTIME was an easy winner at Killarney and has prospects of following up off 7lb higher. Jake Coen kept him wide in the search for better ground and the pair readily went on before the final flight. They are due to encounter good ground on this occasion which will suit well. Faceman was a decisive winner off the front over a slightly shorter trip at this racecourse and would be particularly threatening if allowed too much rope. Sea Of Doubt is another to consider, while Marelly would prefer softer ground.

A former bumper winner, the Gordon Elliott-trained WILLIAM BUTLER can register a first success over flights. Already placed twice from four starts over hurdles, the gelding has the experience to take a race of this nature. Fitted with first-time blinkers here, the five-year-old is likely to be ridden prominently around a tight track that suits such tactics. Having run his best race over hurdles to date when stepped up to this trip at Cork last time, the Philip Rothwell-trained Reiki Revolution should be a serious threat. A proven stayer, who had the speed to win a bumper, the Wings Of Eagles gelding won't be far away. Hurdling newcomer North Moon has to be respected for trainer Willie Mullins.

With valid excuses for a poor performance at Tipperary last time, GARDE LE PECHE is afforded another chance. Runner-up on her previous start at Limerick in May, the Henry De Bromhead-trained mare is open to further improvement over fences. Darragh O'Keeffe, who has been in excellent form of late, renews his partnership with the seven-year-old here. Despite remaining a maiden after 22 starts over fences, Caesar Rock is an admirable front-runner who seldom runs a bad race. On a track that suits forcing tactics, the Mouse Morris-trained gelding should give his running once again. Runner-up at this track on his last start over fences, General Clermont also holds his chance.

Recent Killarney runner-up ZOLPHARINE can go one place better here. A maiden hurdle winner at this track earlier in his career, the John Patrick Ryan-trained gelding ran his best race to date over fences when narrowly denied at the County Kerry venue last time. Given that the winner of that particular race was completing a hat-trick, the form looks relatively strong. With Harry Sexton once more claiming a valuable 7lb, this looks a nice chance. With just the three starts over fences, Movie King is almost certainly well handicapped. Despite being an infrequent winner, the eight-year-old has to be respected. Granted a clear round, Aliunde should also be involved at the finish.
