Having regained the winning thread at Haydock a fortnight ago, a 3lb higher mark shouldn't prevent another bold bid from Beauld As Brass. George Baker's gelding is a potential improver stepping up further in distance and isn't taken lightly, but OXFORD COMMA is slightly more appealing. The four-year-old scored over 2m2f on her penultimate outing at Pontefract and she shouldn't be judged too harshly on her subsequent defeat in a Listed event in France. Mordor and Align The Stars add further spice to the race.
Prediction : 1st Oxford Comma 2nd Beauld As Brass 3rd Mordor

OPERA BALLO had little difficulty in conceding weight to his rivals when completing a double in a Listed event at Newmarket last month and has earned another tilt at Group 3 company. Charlie Appleby's colt has only tasted defeat once in five outings to date and there should be more to come. Irish 2,000 Guineas runner-up Cosmic Year demands respect and should appreciate these quicker ground conditions compared to the Prix Jean Prat surface. King Of Cities is the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Opera Ballo 2nd Cosmic Year 3rd King Of Cities

GREEK ORDER supplemented his Royal Hunt Cup fourth with a decent third at Sandown last month. Michael Bell's gelding looks to have a nice prize in him and, racing off an unchanged mark, he could be the one. The hat-trick seeking Skukuza arrives on the back of a Listed triumph at the Curragh and another bold showing looks assured. The son of Blue Point is feared most, ahead of Treasure Time and Arisaig.
Prediction : 1st Greek Order 2nd Skukuza 3rd Treasure Time

Beaten by a short head when second in this race 12 months ago, Asfoora is a must for the shortlist. However, TIME FOR SANDALS could be the way to go. A surprise but game winner of the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot, Harry Eustace's progressive filly can enhance the good record three-year-olds boast in this showpiece event. The Cecil Frail winner Frost At Dawn and Khaadem, who landed this in 2022, are other solid options.
Prediction : 1st Time For Sandals 2nd Asfoora 3rd Frost At Dawn

HAUNTED DREAM never recovered from being badly hampered when entering the final furlong in the Wolferton at Royal Ascot and that run is best forgotten. Better judged on his game success in this race 12 months ago, the son of Oasis Dream is fancied to go well. Fox Legacy has won two of his three starts for Andrew Balding and he is another key player. Previous course winners Liberty Lane and Godwinson are also considered.
Prediction : 1st Haunted Dream 2nd Fox Legacy 3rd Liberty Lane

Costing 600,000 euros as a yearling, Godolphin clearly saw something in RISING POWER and the son of Wootton Bassett hasn't let them down so far with narrow wins at Newmarket and Sandown, both over a furlong shorter. He has to carry top-weight on his nursery debut but may well prove better than a handicapper in time. Penhallam held on well when dropped to this trip at Newbury and he might get the better of Try Storm Cat in the race for second.
Prediction : 1st Rising Power 2nd Penhallam 3rd Try Storm Cat

Grecian Legacy is the sole course winner in this field after winning over a furlong shorter here in May and, although disappointing at Royal Ascot latest, he may be worth another chance. MUNSIF looked on his way to better things when winning his first two starts before a close-up third at York and, if he improves for being gelded, he may well outclass these off a mark of 87. Sea Of Kings makes his handicap debut and is also noted.
Prediction : 1st Munsif 2nd Grecian Legacy 3rd Sea Of Kings
