The Michael O'Callaghan-trained FRESH FADE can make his experience count here to get off the mark at the fifth attempt. Third in a Listed race at Tipperary last month, the son of Cotai Glory should appreciate dropping back into maiden company. Also gelded since that last start, the 81-rated juvenile sets a fair standard. Connections have also opted for a first-time hood. in an attempt to help him settle that little bit better. Leopardstown third Morehampton is entitled to improve from that promising debut effort. Weak in the market prior to that introduction, the Johnny Murtagh-trained colt should know his job now. Bellewstown third Carwyn is another that can step forward from a promising first run.

Fairyhouse maiden winner SHAKAZIA can follow up on her first start in handicap company. Runner-up on her previous outing at Naas in June, the Johnny Murtagh-trained filly readily opened her account at the County Meath track last month. A lightly raced three-year-old open to further improvement, the daughter of Kodiac has only had the four starts to date. Off an opening mark of 89, she could have some scope. Curragh winner Quadruple races off a career-high mark but is respected under Colin Keane. Racing over what is arguably her optimum trip should suit the four-year-old. Course and distance winner Exquisite Acclaim is another with leading claims.

Despite being officially rated the lowest of the three Ger Lyons-trained runners, CONTINUITE gets the vote. A maiden winner at this course last time, although this represents a major rise in class for the three-year-old, connections clearly feel that she is up to the task in hand. Stablemate Naomi Lapaglia had valid excuses when disappointing in a stronger race at the Curragh last month. Prior to that, the five-year-old had run very well when third in Group 2 company at that same track. Recent Cork winner Mojave River is another relatively unexposed filly with the potential for improvement.

FLEETFOOT has been acquitting himself well over this trip in winning a valuable handicap at the Curragh and then keeping on for fourth in another good contest at Galway. War Rooms is the highest-rated horse and his seventh in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot was a fair effort. Puturhandstogether is of interest reverting back to the Flat. He went off favourite for the Galway Hurdle, but finished in mid-division. His mark of 82 is workable, but would prefer slower ground. Saturn hasn't been at his best on his last couple of runs but knows how to win, while Gambino is up in trip and class after shedding his maiden tag on debut at this track.

Colin Keane stays loyal to PLAZA ATHENEE who could get her turn. There was promise in her opening sixth in a Curragh maiden and she really built upon that when just pipped by a head on her next start in Killarney. Sunlight Dance was beaten eight lengths into third in a fillies' maiden at the Curragh. The runner-up came out and won well at Naas so she has her chance. Some Good Men Gone avails of stall one and showed improvement when running on in second at Naas last week. His stable continues to fire the winners in. Treasure Rose is another to consider, while newcomer Stone Rulya is worth checking for market strength.

FLIER stayed on well to land a C&D apprentice handicap last month and effectively races off just 1lb higher as Patrick McGettigan is able to utilise his full 7lb claim in this contest. Skib Gold belied his 80/1 odds when winning comfortably in the second division of that aforementioned apprentice handicap, so has to be respected. Slaney Swagger showed more in third behind Flier and Chris Hayes comes in for the ride. Chou Chou was the horse between Flier and Slaney Swagger and is another looking to be involved at the business end.
