This may represent a rise in grade for RADICAL DESIGN, but course form can count for a lot and Stuart Williams' charge looked good when scoring comfortably over track and trip last week. A 6lb penalty could prove manageable and he is preferred to the hat-trick-seeking Nakaaha and Gloriously Sassy, who wasn't beaten far over this distance at Redcar. Completing the shortlist are Kodi Fire, Love Is The Law and Zarathos.

Having lost little in defeat when runner-up on his stable bow at Chepstow last week, compensation could be on the cards for KING OF LIGHT. Stuart Williams' charge is 2lb well-in and edges the vote over Huscal. The son of Saxon Warrior is only 2lb higher than for his recent close-up second over 7f at Doncaster, with the return to 6f not expected to be a problem. The down-in-class Emperor Spirit is another to consider.

Having supplemented several creditable efforts in defeat with a victory in testing conditions at Yarmouth, Jimmy Speaking merits respect in his follow-up bid. However, the four-year-old isn't certain to prove quite as effective on quicker ground and it could be worth chancing WHERE'S FREDDY. Stuart Williams' inmate should relish a return to a mile and he's only 3lb higher than for his triumph at Newmarket in June. Zapphire is also of interest.

The four-year-old wasn't as good at Yarmouth subsequently, but he was said to have been unsuited by soft ground and appeals as the type to bounce back under ideal conditions. Night Breeze must shoulder a penalty having been successful at Ascot's Shergar Cup meeting last weekend, but remains of interest. Ammes and Miller Spirit are two others to consider.

MR SWIVELL has found considerable progress since joining Kevin Philippart De Foy, winning three of his five starts. His latest display, a commanding success at Wolverhampton a fortnight ago, suggests this 6lb higher mark is still within range so he gets the vote. Silent Age has also been in excellent form and is expected to mount a serious challenge along with Parole D'oro, who had excuses at Goodwood.
