VALIANT FORCE is the class act in this handicap and Sam Coen has been booked to ease his burden by 7lb. This former Group 2 winner at Royal Ascot has shown a real aptitude for Dundalk in landing three of his five races here and is well drawn in stall two. Daamberdiplomat has three C&D victories to his name so it is not hard to see him in the mix. British raider Never Just A Dream has been keeping good company on his travels and should be competitive off a mark of 92. Little Queenie won this race last year and is nicely weighted, while I Bid You Ajou and Collective Power could be lively.

SHOOT TO KILL is advantaged by the weights and could post his third Dundalk success. He performed consistently well for Stephen Thorne and was claimed after finishing second in Killarney. He won nicely for Denis Hogan at Gowran Park on Wednesday. Late Night Talking has gone well fresh before and could be dangerous on debut for Kieran Cotter. He has never been out of the first four in five previous runs in maidens here. Bucaneer's Spirit enjoyed a drop into claiming company when delivering at Ballinrobe, but was behind the selection earlier in the week. It is worth noting that Comfort Line rarely runs a bad race in Dundalk.

BEIJINHO is bred to race on an all-weather surface being by Nyquist and there was promise in her runner-up berth on debut at this track. She broke smartly and led before being collared approaching the final furlong. She was no match for the winner, but was clear of the remainder and there should be more to come from this former barrier trial winner. Daler has been placed three times over 1m and looks one of the more likely contenders. Raykir has attained a mark of 80 and first-time cheekpieces saw him get closer in third at Limerick last month. Eichan San will be eyeing prize money, while newcomer Tour Guide Tom would be interesting if strong in the betting.

Aidan O'Brien's PIERRE BONNARD can improve upon an opening fourth at Leopardstown. It looked a fair maiden and his stablemate in third came out and hacked up by eight lengths back at the same track. O'Brien also saddles debutant King Of Sparta, who warrants automatic respect as a half-brother to a dual Oaks winner. Prospect Thunder couldn't really land a blow when third of four in a Group 3 at Leopardstown, but that was his first start. He will appreciate these calmer waters. Galway third Nazario was cut down in the closing stages over that stiff 7f and comes into the reckoning, while Daary and Masaban are others who could get involved.

PUNK POET is one to consider at a price. He has been out of form, but has five C&D victories in his locker. He was third in a higher grade here in February and now races off 10lb lower. Obama Army is likely to be playing catch-up from the stalls, but could be coming home stronger than most. He kept on well to be a close fourth on his last visit to Dundalk in July. Ballymagreehan stayed on strongly to win that race by a short head. He should have every chance of following up, although the handicapper upped him 6lb, which makes life more difficult. Akmaam has been hurdling, but could play a part in the finish.

The three-year-old GAME POINT has been building experience in maidens and looks threatening off a light weight in his first handicap. He has been runner-up no less than five times in a row over a variety of trips and has plenty of ability. He gets first-time cheekpieces. Tribal Star was a more-than-decent fourth over further in the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle in June. He has placed form over this trip here and his overall form figures at this racetrack read '3122'. Spicy Margarita has shown an aptitude for the surface in Dundalk and, since then, has been keeping good company on turf. She is well worth a go at this distance.

MASTER GARVEY was nearest at the finish when beaten less than a length into fourth on his last try at this track and trip, back in April. He is in good recent nick courtesy of a couple of third places in Leopardstown and here. Porsche Lad won over C&D in March and posted a runner-up spot over further a week later, which gives him a better chance than most. Tartaraghan has been in good form over the summer and took top honours at Navan last month, which makes her dangerous. Cork winner Vervain and Killarney runner-up So Messi are likely to have plenty of supporters.
