A promising third when keeping on from the rear at Hamilton, Head For Freedom is of considerable interest, as is Akabusi, who has been much improved since being gelded and wasn't beaten far when attempting to complete a Nottingham brace.

GREY JAGUAR has displayed plenty of greenness but shaped with promise on both starts over 7f, and dropping back to 6f could sharpen his mind as he looks to get off the mark for connections that have been in excellent form of late. Wild Clary remains a maiden after eight starts, but is entitled to be a leading contender following a strong runner-up effort at Newbury. Yarmouth third Maximising and stablemate Fierce Fortitude, who is making his debut for leading owners, cannot be ruled out either.

WARM SUMMER was second at Lingfield on her only start last year. With the winner going on to place twice at Group 3 level and finishing fourth in the Coronation, the form has a solid look to it and her trainer can get one ready after an absence. Rock Iguana looks her biggest rival after a close-up Wolverhampton third, although Shamacid ran well for a long way on his debut and can only improve for the experience.

Great Dream showed promise when third on his second start back in January and he may well mount a challenge. Lord Montague only went under by a neck at Lingfield and is another who can go well, but FIRST AMBITION could have their measure. Karl Burke's gelding ran on well to win over 7f in the Newcastle event in which Great Dream was third and can only improve for both the run and the extra furlong.

Newcomer Azura is a half-sister to a dual Group 2 winner and is one to watch for Jack Channon, whose horses are in good form. Balticum showed some promise with a fourth at Newmarket on his second start and he is one to watch on his return, but VINCENT ROCKS may be able to give weight away all round after winning on debut at Nottingham, despite looking as if the experience would bring plenty of improvement.

Having shown a willing attitude to score in the shadows of the post at Newmarket earlier this month, Rogue Diplomat warrants respect in his follow-up bid. However, a 3lb rise in the ratings and switch to the all-weather does demand more from James Owen's colt and it could be worth taking a punt on PHILANTHROPIST. The son of Sergei Prokofiev is returning to the C&D of his last triumph and looks more than capable of scoring at this level. Fondo Blanco is also noted.

WHATSGOINGONMARVIN finished third in what looked a stronger event at Sandown and there is a sneaking suspicion that he can win off an unchanged mark. The son of Camelot shouldn't have any issues debuting on Tapeta and a third career victory may beckon. The biggest threat might emerge from fellow three-year-old Divot, who arrives on the back of a close-up second at this track. Papagei is also noted.
