Wonderful Friend has been gelded following his latest second at Hamilton and is expected to be competitive, while I'm Dan Dare is a newcomer of considerable interest.

ETERNAL FORCE has steadily been improving with each career start, finishing second at Hamilton when last seen in June, and William Haggas looks to have found an excellent opportunity for the son of Dubawi. Beauty Blossom's Carlisle effort on Wednesday was an improvement on her Ripon debut, while Token Love is expected to step forward from his first run at Haydock.

HALE END has yet to score this season but he went agonisingly close at Pontefract last Sunday. That effort came after finishing an unfortunate fifth in behind the reopposing Paladin (winner) over C&D a fortnight ago, and he is taken to exact his revenge. Double Parked has two wins from his two visits here and is most appealing of the remainder.

This isn't as competitive as the two York races SUGAR BABY contested last month so, off a workable mark, he looks a real player in this company. Peter Niven's gelding can only be afforded a tentative vote, though, because recent Thirsk scorer Dandy Dinmont should give him plenty to think about. Ishe Worth Agamble was narrowly denied at Ayr a fortnight ago and must also be considered.

BRIAN THE SNAIL's enthusiasm for the game has yet to wane, evidenced by his recent C&D second. The 11-year-old can often miss the break but that might not be disastrous given there is some pace on show. Handicapped to go well once again, the son of Zebedee can prove too strong for the likes of Golden Prosperity and Filey Beach.
