Count Otto took a big step back in the right direction when runner-up on the all-weather course at the same venue in June and commands respect, while Silver Wraith appears best of the remainder.

GHOST MODE sets a decent standard on his third at Glorious Goodwood having taken a step forward from his debut run at Kempton. The son of Ghaiyyath wouldn't need to improve on those efforts to shed the maiden tag on this occasion. Champagne Dream is expected to be competitive after making the frame here last month, while the consistent Mayaada appeals more than the same owners' Princess Honey Bee.

BELL SHOT has enjoyed a hugely consistent year with a trio of victories, including at Beverley last time when dominating throughout. Despite a 7lb rise, it won't be a huge surprise if Mick Appleby's gelding is able to repeat that display. C&D winner Aurora Majesty ran with plenty of credit when placed in a competitive Glorious Goodwood handicap. He is feared most, while others to note include Crimson Spirit and Partisan Hero.

A wide-margin winner of the Ladies' Derby over C&D before following up under Paul Hainey at Newbury a week later, GORDON GREY has cheekpieces back on and is taken to complete his hat-trick. Warning Sign seeks a three-timer of his own following a brace of Sandown victories. An 8lb rise for the latest of those will make things tougher, though. Vaynor is also noted.

Carnival Day recorded a commanding success over track and trip last month but, although respected from 6lb higher, preference is for SOUL DANCE. Victorious on her handicap debut at Nottingham, the daughter of Camelot has gone on to fill the runner-up berth in both starts since. The latest, when narrowly denied at Salisbury, was her first attempt at this trip and further progress could be on the cards. Atherstone Warrior was disappointing when well backed at Glorious Goodwood, but he shouldn't be ruled out.

Handicap debutant Due West is worth noting, given his powerful connections, but HACHIMAN looks one to keep on the right side of. The son of Frankel beat a subsequent winner when landing a maiden at Lingfield and may well prove better than his opening mark. Jiff's Army saves his best for this track and last month's victory over C&D looks stronger form than Play Me's recent success here.

Silver Trumpet bolted up over C&D on his latest start, but he has a 9lb hike to contend with and VALLEY OFTHE KINGS is marginally preferred. Dylan Cunha's charge finished a creditable runner-up in maiden company at Redcar, with a horse now rated 80 back in third, and is potentially well treated for his handicap debut. Our Mighty Mo returns to this shorter distance with a shout off his current mark.
