She proved better than her opening mark when scoring over the stiff 5f at Beverley on her nursery debut and a 2lb rise may not be enough to prevent another bold bid. Magistery failed to get a clear run in a nursery at Ripon last time and she rates a bigger threat than Pontefract winner Sparkling Pink.

BELLA LOVE was caught in the shadow of the post when going agonisingly close in a maiden handicap over 7f here latest. A solid fourth over this trip at Catterick before that, Ivan Furtado's charge looks set to strike. Edgewater Drive landed a double over C&D last summer and will be hard to keep out of the finish if returning to the same level, while Giselles Izzy also merits consideration.

The seven-year-old lurks on an appealing rating and he looks the way to go. Last-time-out C&D winner Chief Of State is another to consider.

Ralph Beckett's gelding should relish this extra furlong and may take another step forward to score. Sound Janet hit the crossbar off a mark of 75 at Goodwood on her latest outing and has to be respected back in maiden company. Of the remainder, Lahire makes the most appeal.

Having continued her upward trajectory when scoring at Brighton recently, Lunanova merits respect in her follow-up bid. The three-year-old isn't taken lightly, but a 6lb penalty does demand more. RAVISHING BEAUTY arrives on the back of a close-up second at Ayr and, off 2lb higher, Jedd O'Keeffe's filly is slightly more compelling. Runninsonofagun is also worth a second look in here.

EXPOSAY left behind her opening fourth at Wolverhampton when scoring at Thirsk in July. An opening mark of 75 looks workable for the daughter of Sergei Prokofiev and a double may be on the cards. Recent C&D winner One Night Thunder cannot be dismissed on this quick turnaround and he's feared most, ahead of last month's Ayr scorer Native Honey.
