RICARDO PHILLIPS, Fighting Poet and Foinix are all bidding for a double, but preference is for the first-named after his Leicester triumph. The Henry Candy-trained four-year-old only has a 1lb higher rating to contend with and could kick on now. Fighting Poet travelled powerfully when scoring comfortably over 1m2f here and won't have any problems with this step back up in distance, so he rates as the main danger.

Kranjcar is sure to have his supporters after supplementing his second course success here with victory over this trip at Lingfield. However, a further 5lb penalty might open the door for TENBOB TOMMY. The four-year-old was far from disgraced in fifth in a warmer event over a mile at Newbury and the assessor may have been kind to drop him 1lb. This is just his second handicap outing and he could have more to offer. Silent Flame completes the shortlist.

However, he hasn't always been the most reliable when breaking from the stalls and it could be worth chancing HAVANA GILA. Harry Eustace's filly lurks on an attractive mark and a rain-softened surface may enable a return to form. Court Of Session is also worth a second look dropping back in distance.

Jim Boyle's charge made all over C&D 15 days ago and scored with enough in hand to suggest that an 8lb hike isn't unduly harsh. Unico arrives on the back of a solid third here and, off an unchanged mark, may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Dreambird Dolly.
