There should be more to come after just four career starts and ground conditions are unlikely to hinder his chances. Too Soon has a bit to do and is expected to chase the pair home.

Ralph Beckett landed this 12 months ago and could do so again courtesy of BAY OF BRILLIANCE. The son of New Bay shaped well, despite looking outpaced, over 7f at Newbury but with a step up in trip likely to suit, progress should be on the cards. A Taste of Glory is another who will benefit from a rise in distance. He posted an equally promising debut performance and could be the main threat. Sea The Stars colt Alsad warrants a market check.

The likeable RHOSCOLYN has won both previous editions of this race, the latest from just 2lb lower, and with conditions in his favour, David O'Meara's seven-year-old is fancied to retain his crown. Alpha Crucis posted an improved effort to chase home an unexposed colt at Sandown latest and a reproduction of that effort should see him go close, while others to note include Ata Rangi, Cerulean Bay and Two Tempting.

The way SADDADD scored at Sandown last month marked him down as a Pattern-class horse in waiting and he gets the opportunity to prove it for his in-form connections. Soft ground again should be in his favour and he is narrowly preferred to Ancient Wisdom, who is dropping back in trip after a gelding operation. Checkandchallenge caught the eye when running on well for third in the Superior Mile at Haydock, while Starzintheireyes has been off since landing last year's Zetland Stakes but must enter calculations.

Eve Johnson Houghton is usually worth following in this sort of contest and MYSTIC MOMENT looks like an ideal type on the drop in class after running respectably in Listed company the last twice. Another filly going down in grade after a creditable fifth in the May Hill, Timeforshowcasing is entitled to be thereabouts, along with Mayaada, who has been running consistently throughout the season and has Oisin Murphy on board for the first time. Others to note include Angels' Share, Della Pace and Wetsand.

Second on her first two starts over a mile and a quarter, the promising FINALISE ran away with a Kempton novice event over a mile and a half by 12 lengths and a mark of 84 seems workable for her handicap debut. Incensed drops in class and can go well after being beaten just a head here last month. The consistent Spirit Of Jura is another to bear in mind.
