Elwateen has been disappointing since finishing an excellent fourth in the 1000 Guineas in May, but that might not be fair upon reflection as she's been campaigned at the highest level. It's far too soon to be writing her off, especially now eased in class, but it may be worth giving PROTEST another chance. On target at Goodwood before racing too keenly in the Dick Hern at Haydock, she looks sure to threaten if learning to race more amenably. Cajole is capable on her day and must also enter calculations.
Prediction : 1st Protest 2nd Elwateen 3rd Cajole

A runner-up in Listed company the last twice, including when a neck behind the reopposing Miss Justice (winner) at Salisbury last month, REVOIR has long shaped as though she would relish stepping up to 1m4f. Her pedigree further solidifies those claims and she can find the required improvement to repel Silent Love, who arrives having landed the Chalice on the July course latest. William Buick keeps the faith with Spirited Style despite a disappointing effort in the German Oaks most recently, and she merits respect too.
Prediction : 1st Revoir 2nd Silent Love 3rd Spirited Style

Having made light work of her opposition on both outings to date, the sky is the limit for TOULEEN. Owen Burrows' filly has more than earned a tilt at Pattern level and she can once again prove too strong for the reopposing Zanthos. The daughter of Sioux Nation pulled her chance away at Leicester recently but she remains of interest in spite of that, while The Prettiest Star heads the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Touleen 2nd Zanthos 3rd The Prettiest Star

Four from five in his career following a comprehensive success in Listed company on the July Course recently, OPERA BALLO could be a colt on the way to the top. Similar comments apply to the unbeaten Zeus Olympios, who maintained his unbeaten record in the Superior Mile at Haydock and he is the main danger. Detain needs to rediscover some sparkle but it would be folly to write him off, while Prague may appreciate a return to headquarters having landed this contest easily last year.
Prediction : 1st Opera Ballo 2nd Zeus Olympios 3rd Prague

ISLE OF JURA went from strength-to-strength last year and is taken to make a winning reappearance. George Scott's charge completed a five-timer with an emphatic victory in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes last summer, and he could prove hard to stop if returning in a similar vein of form. Eydon recorded a career-best performance when winning a Group 3 at Newbury back in May. He makes greater appeal than the returning Chelmsford novice winner By The Book and last year's winner Burdett Road.
Prediction : 1st Isle Of Jura 2nd Eydon 3rd By The Book

Charlie Appleby won this with a twice-raced colt in 2023 and although less experienced, Beccadelli makes considerable appeal following a promising debut. Battle Apple wasn't disgraced in a valuable sales contest at Doncaster and is respected, but preference is for ENOCH. The Gosdens' newcomer is a Frankel half-brother to the brilliant Almanzor, while being related to a host of other useful types, and it would come as no surprise were he up to the task. Adamlyi is worth a second glance in the betting.
Prediction : 1st Enoch 2nd Beccadelli 3rd Battle Apple

MAN OF LA MANCHA usually attracts support and he justified favouritism on the soft at Sandown last month. All ground conditions seem to come alike to him and a 6lb rise may underestimate the speed at which he is progressing. Shamrock Bay dug deep to register a deserved success in the Racing League at Chepstow and is expected to challenge again. Mezcala lost little in defeat when runner-up on his handicap debut at Haydock and certainly has more to offer, a remark that might also apply to Boyfriend.
Prediction : 1st Man Of La Mancha 2nd Shamrock Bay 3rd Mezcala
