ROYAL FIXATION is arguably unlucky not to be unbeaten, given she won either side of a neck-second to Venetian Sun in a Group 2 event at Newmarket back in July.
Considering she was at the rear of the field prior to making her challenge alone on the opposite side of the track to the winner, marked her performance up even further.
She finished like a steam train once she hit top gear and made no mistake in winning the Group 2 Lowther Stakes at York last time out.
This daughter of Palace Pier looks the real deal to me and hopefully she can continue her upward trajectory and provide Ed Walker with top-level success.

INTRUSIVELY (11/1 generally) 0.5 POINTS EACH-WAY
I do feel as though INTRUSIVELY has unfairly been overlooked. He’s only underperformed once in his career which came when down the field in the Group 2 Lennox Stakes on his penultimate start. Otherwise, he’s been rock solid.

His fifth in last season’s big two-year-old at Doncaster was respectable and ran well in a couple of handicaps on his next two starts off marks of 97 and 96. His latest midfield finish at Newcastle was another decent effort considering he raced on the unfavourable part of the track.
