BARNSNAPE BOY was well beaten on soft ground here a fortnight ago, but gets another chance back on this faster surface. Jim Boyle's charge landed a double last month, including an emphatic win over C&D, and today's apprentice takes a valuable 7lb off his back. Recon Mission has been in the mix of late and first-time blinkers may bring improvement, while Reporter makes more appeal than Antiphon of the rest.
Prediction : 1st Barnsnape Boy 2nd Recon Mission 3rd Reporter

FIERCE FORTITUDE looks to have a good opportunity to open his account. The son of Mehmas has improved with every start so far, culminating in a solid second at Newcastle, having finished a place in front of the reopposing Cosmo Goodspeed when third at Kempton before that. The latter has subsequently found one too good at Ffos Las and rates the main danger, while Mapplethorpe is preferred to Melosa of the remaining pair.
Prediction : 1st Fierce Fortitude 2nd Cosmo Goodspeed 3rd Mapplethorpe

Arvana Belle won a nursery over 6f at this venue last month and went close again back here last time. She could be thereabouts if lasting home, but MOLLY MAC has nothing to prove over today's 7f trip. Michael Keady's filly finished a strong third at Chelmsford with cheekpieces applied for the first time and she looks to have more to offer in the headgear. Archibald Ives could prove pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Molly Mac 2nd Arvana Belle 3rd Archibald Ives

Tenbob Tommy was a disappointing favourite when finishing last over 7f here earlier in the month, but he isn't one to write off. The hat-trick seeking Darvel holds an obvious chance, but the vote goes to PLAY ME. Jim Boyle's three-year-old hit the crossbar in this class at Epsom earlier in the month and is just 1lb higher. The son of Too Darn Hot remains on a workable rating and looks the way to go.
Prediction : 1st Play Me 2nd Tenbob Tommy 3rd Darvel

JUST ADAIR accounted for Love You Back (third) when scoring by half a length at Windsor last month and is expected to confirm that form. The son of Ghaiyyath was making his handicap debut on that occasion and followed up over the same C&D next time, so he remains the one to beat. Versatile outran his odds of 28/1 to finish third at Leicester and needs considering off an unchanged rating.
Prediction : 1st Just Adair 2nd Versatile 3rd Love You Back

Toussarok appeared to relish a switch to Tapeta when scoring in good style at Wolverhampton nine days ago and merits respect in his current vein of form. However, a 7lb higher mark on this switch to turf could be enough to scupper his follow-up bid, with preference for C&D winner KING OF WAR. The six-year-old is 12lb below his last winning mark and a repeat of his latest third at Dunstall Park may suffice. Desert Beauty is also of interest.
Prediction : 1st King Of War 2nd Toussarok 3rd Desert Beauty

ROVINIA has been knocking on the door since racing under the tutelage of Roger Teal in July and perseverance may pay dividends. The three-year-old is only 1lb higher than her close-up second at Lingfield earlier this month and she may open her account at the main expense of Upper Hand. The Camacho gelding arrives on the back of a respectable second here and a 1lb ease in the ratings can only help. Mehmo is the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Rovinia 2nd Upper Hand 3rd Mehmo
