KRANJCAR tends to do just enough to win and held on by only a head at Leicester to land the four-timer. He looks worth sticking with in his current mood, given this amateur rider is proving good value for his 5lb allowance and George Boughey's yard also boasts an impressive strike-rate at the track. Impressor is feared most on the back of a recent 5f victory here, while Giselles Izzy is another to consider.

Pisanello has been threatening to end a long losing run of late, but INANNA gets another chance representing last year's winning yard. Eternal Sunshine failed to complete the four-timer but still ran with plenty of credit to make the frame in the Bronze Cup at Ayr recently and is likely to be on the premises. However, COROLLA POINT justified favouritism to make a winning start for the Edward Bethell yard at Haydock and a 7lb rise might underestimate him. The son of Blue Point makes just his third handicap appearance and will prove hard to beat. Amayretto isn't out of it either.

However, the rise in class and 4lb penalty does demand more from Stella Barclay's charge and HARB is slightly more compelling. The six-year-old supplemented a winning stable bow at Ayr when recently finishing fourth in an 18-runner sprint at the same venue. Penalised winner Stirrup Cup is also of interest.

Having found only a subsequent winner too strong at Ayr in late April, VAMPIRE SLAYER could be poised to make a winning reappearance. The five-year-old has subsequently undergone a wind procedure and a 2lb higher mark looks far from insurmountable. Grizzieblanca hit the frame on her stable bow at Newcastle 10 days ago and she's feared most, ahead of recent Beverley third Hickton.
