Similar comments apply to the consistent Bad Boy Rizz, another capable of taking a hand in the finish.

Following a solid effort at the Curragh last time, JOYFUL TIDINGS can make a winning start to life in handicap company. Off the mark at the first time of asking in a Tipperary maiden in April, the Gavin Cromwell-trained colt may have found the extended 6f on rain softened ground a bridge too far on his most recent outing. Back on a sharper track, with the likelihood of better ground conditions, he can resume his progress. Soy El Fuego and Fleur De Rose are both handicap debutants to note.

Having had valid excuses on her last two outings, it could pay to take a chance on PICKERSGILL. The Sheila Lavery-trained filly, who had looked a progressive filly prior to those runs, made all to win her maiden at the Curragh back in April. A reproduction of that form would give her leading claims in this grade, especially given that she has been fortunate with a stands side draw. Navan winner Amicitia has been hit with an 11lb rise for that easy success but remains one to keep onside. A lightly-raced progressive filly, she could have more to offer. Kwa Herini is interesting in first-time cheekpieces with an in-form apprentice booked for the ride.

SOVEREIGN BANTER can gain a first career win on his second start for trainer Andrew Slattery. Up with the pace until weakening late on over 7f on stable debut here last time, the three-year-old is fitted with first-time blinkers on this occasion. Well drawn against the favoured stands rail, it would be no surprise to see the Ten Sovereigns colt make all. Course and distance winner American In Paris has to again have every chance in what appears a modest contest even for the grade. Jazzy Dancer returns from a break off a much reduced mark. A prominent racer, he is arguably a better horse at Dundalk but does have a turf win to his name.

With a rating of 93, RIDERSINTHESKY looks the one to beat. Third in a Group 3 on her most recent start at the Curragh, she should appreciate this drop in class. The winner of a barrier trial at Leopardstown last month, Ifweonlyhavelove is the second choice. While she proved easy-to-back on her official debut at Punchestown a fortnight ago, she ran well there to finish fifth, despite showing signs of greenness. River Ara and Bloom are the Ballydoyle representatives and they are both sure to have plenty of supporters, while Gowran third Jojo's Legacy is another leading hope. With eight newcomers in the line-up, betting trends should be closely watched.

As the highest rated runner in the line-up, this looks a good opportunity for PURVIEW. A beaten favourite on his last two starts, the talented son of Kingman might be able to get his career back on track in this Listed heat. Johnny Murtagh saddles Reyenzi and Tangapour, with both likely to have plenty of supporters. The latter belied odds of 300/1 when second in a Group 3 on his latest start and went up a massive 27lb as a result. Not seen since disappointing in the Dee Stakes at Chester in May, Isambard Brunel warrants the utmost respect in first-time blinkers, while Cadogan and Iowa City are other leading hopes.

I AM SUPERMAN is the suggestion in this competitive affair. Down to a mark of 86, he's been given a chance by the assessor and should appreciate the drop in class, with his last few efforts coming in valuable handicaps that were fiercely contested. Blues Emperor is closely matched with the selection and finished a couple of places ahead of him at Leopardstown on Champions Weekend. Winning two of his last three, Sujet is still open to further progress and is sure to have plenty of supporters with Colin Keane aboard. In truth, a case can be made for many others, with Falls Of Acharn, Listowel runner-up Mathan and Brewing, who won six in the UK when in the care of William Haggas, others for the shortlist.

A model of consistency this season, LIAMO should give a good account of himself. Successful at Listowel in June, the Profitable four-year-old has finished third in three subsequent starts and will now be ably assisted by Joe Harnett, who claims a valuable 7lb. Making the breakthrough over C&D last month, Famous Enough registered a second career success at Dundalk on Friday and, turned out again quickly, he'll be well fancied to follow up. Second in that Dundalk heat and better off at the weights, it will come as no surprise if Venetian manages to reverse the form. Vierson is sure to have plenty of supporters, while Purring Along, La Tulipe Noire and Sayfa Fad are others for the shortlist.
