Kieran Shoemark returning to the saddle is a plus and he is preferred to One And Gone, who shaped well on debut at Ripon in August before an average effort last time out at Newbury. A stablemate of the selection, Melodical may also have a say in proceedings.

Stepping up in trip looks like a good move for Rolling Luck, who cannot be ruled out either.

The James Tate stable can do little wrong at present and this appeals as a good opportunity for DARK ANGEL STAR on her nursery debut following a taking success at Newcastle over this distance. London Is Blue arrives on a hat-trick courtesy of victories at Brighton, while Moonlight Mirage and Nifty need to bounce back to form but they are capable of having a say at this level.

GENERAL ASSEMBLY has shown signs of a return to form recently with a placed effort backed up by finishing a respectable fourth over C&D last time. Clare Hobson's charge was winning off a 3lb higher mark back in March and could launch a strong challenge back in this lower grade. Startling won here last month, but third-placed Cabeza De Llave has a more favourable draw today and may well turn the tables, while Fancy Dancer could shape well back over this shorter trip.

VALEDICTORY makes a belated return to action having shown plenty of ability in both outings so far. The son of Cracksman has been gelded since finishing a close fourth over today's trip at Newmarket in April and may well prove good enough on his reappearance. El Rehaiby shaped well when fifth over a mile at Lingfield on debut and this extra yardage looks likely to suit, while Solarize is a newcomer to note.

A change of scenery has seemingly worked the oracle for RASCAL RECKNELL. The son of Wootton Bassett has won two of his three starts since switching to Mick Appleby's yard and looks worth sticking with given the ease of last month's C&D success. Signcastle City returns to the Polytrack with a shout off his current mark, while Newsreader has improved for the application of cheekpieces and also merits consideration.

Riot regained the winning thread at Wolverhampton on Saturday and holds an obvious chance, despite his 4lb penalty. Anthropologist has occupied the runner-up berth the last twice and is respected, but NOBLE VICTORY gets the vote. James Tate's charge finished second in this class at Lingfield in August and is just 2lb higher. The son of Churchill is unexposed over this distance and looks the way to go.

SUZUKA was far from disgraced in second at Kempton last month and the handicapper may have been kind to leave her rating alone for that performance. Roger Varian's filly is steadily improving and the daughter of Bated Breath looks well placed to shed her maiden tag. Sahana struck by half a length over 7f at Lingfield and needs considering for the in-form David Simcock yard. Mamma Maria looks best of the rest.

Night Arc ran better than his odds of 25/1 suggested he would when fifth at Kempton eight days ago and is considered off the same mark. However, it's hard to get away from ALMIZAN. Mark Usher's filly accounted for her nearest rival by a length and a half over 7f here last month and only has a 4lb higher rating to contend with. If the four-year-old can back that effort up, she could be the one to beat. Taskheer is another to note.
