A moderate contest and the locally-trained MISS DONNA might be good enough to score under her experienced amateur rider. She was well held in a bumper last time but her fifth in a maiden hurdle at Wexford was a decent run in the context of this race and that form has been working out reasonably well. Gentle Annie wasn't far behind a subsequent maiden winner when fifth at Ballinrobe and she has claims on that form. Anything that Michael Kenneally rides at present is worth a second look and the in-form 7lb claimer has a chance on Maxicourt, who has run respectably in a couple of bumpers.

On his second run back having been sidelined for nearly two years, ROCK YA BOY YA bolted up at Killarney on Sunday and it's no surprise that Francis Casey brings him out again quickly because he is 6lb well in under a penalty. He hasn't run at this unique track before but has performed well at Kilbeggan which is a pretty sharp circuit as well. Stoneyford Lady wasn't beaten far at Down Royal and is now tried in headgear. Kilbarry Ce Ce is coming down the ratings and was second in a C&D maiden last season.

VENUSIENNE was runner-up in a Listed hurdle at Auteuil on her only start in France and didn't run too badly when a 33/1 chance for the Dawn Run at the Cheltenham festival. Pulled up in a Grade 1 on deep ground when last seen at Fairyhouse in April, the daughter of Authorized takes a huge drop in class here and is fitted with a hood for the first time. Stablemate Kom Tu Voudras, who wears a tongue-tie for the first time and was placed on the Flat in France, was also pulled up in that same Fairyhouse Grade 1. Atlantic City, third on her last four starts over hurdles, has solid place claims again.

Tullyveery Lad has won over hurdles and fences around here and comes into the race in good form, while Silent Selector had a recent winner back in second when landing a course and distance contest in August. The vote, though, goes to FRONT DOOR FAMOUS, who could be on a reasonable mark for his handicap debut. Inthenickoftime was a facile winner over fences at Galway on Tuesday and would be of huge interest if attempting to follow up off his lower hurdles mark.

A point-to-point winner, LADY ROSE HACKETT hasn't yet scored over hurdles but could be worth chancing after posting an encouraging second to the veteran Itsalonglongroad over C&D on her chasing debut at the August festival. A dual track-and-trip winner, the latter commands respect, despite lacking the scope held by Henry de Bromhead's mare, who can come out best in the rematch. Sayitfirst beat a solid yardstick over an extended 2m1f at Sligo and is likely to be in the mix. Dual-chase winner May Call You Back has won over hurdles around here and also enters calculations.

JUKE BOX ROCK caught the eye when travelling well for a long way in a Navan handicap hurdle last month. The runner-up on that occasion, which was his second start after a lay-off, Gavin Cromwell's grey can step forward if handling the undulations on his chasing debut. Mullanour, a point-to-point winner, was fancied in the betting when a faller on his chasing debut here in May, while Figurehead ran well at Downpatrick on what was only his second start over fences. Fellow chasing newcomer, Kells Priory, had a peak rating of 109 over hurdles and shouldn't be ruled out in this company.

WARTIME LEADER left Willie Mullins after a disappointing display at Kilbeggan last month. However, his two previous runs still set the standard here. The Churchill gelding split two smart performers when second at Naas last January, before he had a couple of subsequent bumper winners behind when third at the Galway festival in July. The market will be interesting with a tongue-tie added on his debut for Denis Hogan. Mullins is represented by Boo Radley, who is surely better than he showed on debut when favourite at Roscommon. Barra Rua has run solid races on all three starts but needs to improve.
