Bumper winner RIDE LIKE A GIRL failed to help her cause when making a couple of mistakes at Warwick on her hurdling bow. However, Jamie Snowden's filly still showed plenty of promise in finishing third and can go close with a more fluent display of jumping. Recent Warwick third Midnight Pass is another likely improver with Emma Lavelle's yard among the winners, while Lady Kara has shaped well in bumpers and is one to note on her jumping debut.
Prediction : 1st Ride Like A Girl 2nd Midnight Pass 3rd Lady Kara

Jackstell returned to action with a convincing success at Warwick recently. Another good effort looks assured and he's preferred to Whatyouwaitingfor, who scored at Newton Abbot in August, but SPARTAN TIMES could prove hard to stop. Jennie Candlish's four-year-old has made rapid strides this year, winning four times on the Flat since scoring over hurdles at Worcester in June, and looks to have plenty more to offer back in this code.
Prediction : 1st Spartan Times 2nd Jackstell 3rd Whatyouwaitingfor

Most of these need to raise their game judged on recent efforts and JIMMYJEROO could be the one to do so. He returns to this venue for the first time since scoring over C&D back in April and Henrietta Knight's charge looks to have a fighting chance off only a 2lb higher mark. Zacony Rebel landed a tougher chase than this at Worcester during the summer, while Clearisthewater is worth a second look on his first start over fences.
Prediction : 1st Jimmyjeroo 2nd Zacony Rebel 3rd Clearisthewater

JAGER TIME did well to go under by a neck, despite pulling too hard, at Southwell and if he settles better, Fern O'Brien could ride another winner for her father. Jungle Wood kept on to finish third at Uttoxeter and might find some improvement for the step up in trip, despite an added 1lb from the handicapper. Getaway With You was strongly fancied before finishing fifth at Hexham and will look to make amends.
Prediction : 1st Jager Time 2nd Jungle Wood 3rd Getaway With You

Ballintubber Boy drops slightly in distance on his return to hurdles after failing to make his mark over fences. With a win at Huntingdon a year ago off just 2lb lower, he warrants serious consideration but has to give a lot of weight away to JEUDIDEE. A well-beaten third in a handicap chase at Worcester, the six-year-old steps up in trip and there is enough stamina in his pedigree to suggest he will stay. Donnie Azoff looks best of the rest after his Uttoxeter third.
Prediction : 1st Jeudidee 2nd Ballintubber Boy 3rd Donnie Azoff

A few arrive with something to prove and it looks best to side with BALLYNAHEER, who won at Fontwell before finishing a creditable second over that same C&D. David Dennis' six-year-old is able to compete from an unchanged mark and should go close under similar conditions. Unspeakable has been running well in defeat and must be respected, but stable jockey Jack Tudor opts to ride chasing debutant Captain's Pick and market support should be noted. Getthepot is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Ballynaheer 2nd Captains Pick 3rd Unspeakable

An open contest in which many will fancy their chances and only a tentative vote can go to LYNSEY LARUE. Twice a winner between the flags, Evan Williams' mare has struggled in novice/maiden company so far this season. However, the switch to handicaps coupled with a step up in trip could help, while an opening mark of 88 looks fair. Northern Rose was no match for an in-form rival at Uttoxeter but she remains of interest, as does the four-year-old Path Of Stars, who didn't run badly at Fontwell.
Prediction : 1st Lynsey Larue 2nd Northern Rose 3rd Path Of Stars
