Steve Ryder is back with his Tuesday tips, featuring three confident selections from Lingfield, Market Rasen and Newcastle.
14:30 Lingfield
This looks a match between the 82 rated Eternal Solace and ZIGHY (best priced at 15/8) with the latter only needing to find 1lb on weight adjusted figures. The George Boughey trained filly was sent off 4/7 on her debut at Yarmouth when 2nd before finishing 3rd beaten only a neck on her second start at the same track.
Zighy was once again beaten by a short distance when 2nd last time at Yarmouth on soft ground but she could improve for this switch to the AW. An uncomplicated ride who could make the running in a tactical contest, she looks overpriced in this race.
15:21 Market Rasen
RULER OF THE RIVER (best priced at 3/1) won on her stable debut for Fergal O’Brien three weeks ago and she should hold strong claims off a 5lb higher mark. The five-year-old has had five different trainer combinations in her past six runs with Fergal O’Brien no doubt being the most successful.
William Hill
- Solid in-play betting service
- Cash-in option to help increase profitability
- Excellent reputation within the UK betting-industry
Ruler Of The River won by 2 ¾ lengths in a tongue tie and cheekpieces combination over 2m4½f shaping like this step up in trip would suit her well. Liam Harrison, who rode her to win last time, retains the ride and she looks the one to beat.
17:25 Newcastle
The John Butler trained JACK SPAROWE (best priced at 5/2) has been well backed on his previous two starts and he looks the one to beat in this contest. The six-year-old was caught too far back at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start over 1m1½f before finishing a neck 2nd at Kempton a week ago over 1m4f.
Jack Sparowe pulled 3 ¼ lengths clear of the third that day and has been raised 4lbs as a result of that run. He instead runs here off the same mark and should prove hard to beat with this drop in trip in his favour.
