Ribston Pippin looks interesting after being beaten a neck at Wolverhampton where he was caught late on and first-time cheekpieces may yield further improvement. HASHTAGNOTIONS kept on well at Newcastle when following a Beverley win with a decent second when clear of the third. Although upped another 2lb for that, he is more consistent than any of his rivals which gives him a vital edge. Spinning Dancer is given another try at this trip and could surprise with a place if she stays.

Zighy has run well on all three starts and she was only beaten a half-length at Yarmouth last month when caught late on. She has a good attitude and can find a race, but may have to give way to ETERNAL SOLACE here. A three-length winner on her Brighton debut, she was not disgraced when fifth in the Marygate at York, finishing less than three lengths behind the winner, and is entitled to find this easier pickings. Echoofmymind is a tentative suggestion for third.

KILKENNY WARRIOR was the cosy winner of a class 6 handicap at Southwell three weeks ago and can kick on again with that nursery debut success noted as a convincing piece of form. Handicapping newcomer, From The Hip is another potential improver after showing promise in his three runs to date, with an allotted mark of 70 looking workable. Uncertainty and Corniche Girl have a bit more experience and are other solid options.

PREVISE was a promising third on her handicap debut in a similar event at Newbury when last seen. Fresh from a break since July, this could be a good time to catch the daughter of Oasis Dream as she runs off the same mark. Last-time winners Newfangled and Indian Spirit have to be of interest having shown improved form. The latter was gelded prior to breaking his maiden over C&D last month and he could be the biggest danger to the selection on his handicapping introduction.

Arctician was a surprise victor when he edged out SAXONIA in a course-and-distance handicap at the start of last month. However, the latter bounced back with a game success at Musselburgh on his latest outing and can come out on top in this rematch. Winston's Warrior also looks a key player after resuming winning ways at Kempton last month. A 3lb rise shouldn't be too prohibitive for the Charlie Hills-trained colt in this company. Hitched, who is a four-time course winner (twice over C&D), is another to seriously consider.

SPITZBERGEN was no match for the progressive Rose Of Honour when runner-up at Southwell. Nevertheless, the son of Goken finished well clear of the rest and could prove hard to beat in this company with a similar effort. Kyoto can include a Group 3 winner among his winning relatives and Andrew Balding's newcomer is worthy of a second look, while Mayfair Star will likely improve for this extra furlong and could land a blow.

FOREVER MY PRINCE finished a respectable third in a higher grade sprint at Goodwood last time. The runner-up has subsequently franked that form and Eve Johnson-Houghton's charge gets another chance competing off an unchanged mark. Royal Accord won at Newmarket in August and returns to 6f with sold claims, while Kiniro has returned a beaten favourite on his last couple of starts, though could be thereabouts once again.

Sturlasson made a winning debut for his new yard when successful at Southwell, but HEDGE FUND was having only his second start for Mick Appleby when third in a tougher sprint at Haydock. That was also his first outing since April, so further improvement looks a distinct possibility and the son of Profitable is taken to end his losing run. Grace Angel is usually in the mix at this level and could make the frame.
