MAHON FALLS has shown promise on both bumper starts and gets the vote to open her account on her hurdling debut. The daughter of Buck's Boum beat all bar favourite Beir Bua at Wexford before finishing a creditable sixth at the Listowel Festival. Our Lucky Lady was a low-grade handicapper on the Flat but gave encouragement when switched to hurdles at Thurles last week, finishing third to the odds-on Run For Mahler. Likealightswitch was also placed over timber at Gowran last time, while Crystabel and That's So True are others to consider.Prediction : 1st Mahon Falls 2nd Our Lucky Lady 3rd Likealightswitch

SIXANDAHALF is a useful staying handicapper on the Flat with a rating in the 90s and made a successful switch to hurdles earlier this year when easily winning a Fairyhouse maiden. She subsequently went close in the Grade 2 Ryanair Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and should benefit from a recent run on the level in the Irish Cesarewitch. Colonel Mustard doesn't win very often but has built up a consistent record over hurdles, with many placed efforts at big Festival meetings. Wendrock was highly tried last season after winning a maiden at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting, including when third last time in a Grade 2 at Fairyhouse.Prediction : 1st Sixandahalf 2nd Colonel Mustard 3rd Wendrock

JAADIL opened her account when making all for a decisive victory at Cork and may follow up, despite a 10lb hike in the ratings. The form of that 17-runner event received a boost when the third won at Limerick last weekend. Shannon Bank beat all bar Rock Ya Boy Ya at Killarney earlier this month and is now fitted with cheekpieces, while Romella is another to consider after being left in front at the penultimate flight when scoring in fine style at Tipperary. Lilac Lady was placed in a maiden hurdle here this summer, and You Make Me Smile is another to note having been placed on her latest two starts under both codes.Prediction : 1st Jaadil 2nd Shannon Bank 3rd Romella

ARE YOU AROUND has indicated some ability in two bumper starts and may have been found a good opportunity on her hurdling bow. The Willie Mullins-trained filly was placed behind Fraher Field on debut at Wexford in August and David Doyle is a good booking. Luck Between Us made a pleasing start over hurdles at Roscommon in July and was only headed on the run-in when runner-up to Lord Ffrench here the following month. Insouciant Dallier has been lightly raced and generally disappointing since his second to Will Do in a maiden hurdle here two years ago.Prediction : 1st Are You Around 2nd Luck Between Us 3rd Insouciant Dallier

TROPICAL IMAGE was one of six winners for Eoin McCarthy at last month's Listowel Festival when keeping on strongly in the closing stages to score over 2m6f. The eight-year-old was also placed a couple of times over the summer, including at this venue, and may defy a 9lb rise. Perzzini made all in a Gowran maiden hurdle, but was absent for nearly two years before reappearing at the same venue earlier this month. The Shantou gelding only weakened approaching the last and should benefit from the outing, while Moulane West easily made all over 2m2f here earlier this year.Prediction : 1st Tropical Image 2nd Perzzini 3rd Moulane West
16:55 Sligo
ADDITIONAL TIME may gain quick compensation after losing a Thurles maiden hurdle in the stewards' room last week. The point-to-point winner just got the better of Heron's Butler, but caused some interference on the run-in in that near-2m7f event and should appreciate this stamina test. Poetic Glory beat all bar the impressive Apache Tribe in a 2m4f Listowel bumper last month and the Emmet Mullins-trained gelding rates a threat having also gained some jumping experience between the flags. Phoenix Arizona has been placed a couple of times in point-to-points and was third behind the long odds-on Welonlyhavedone over hurdles at Galway recently.Prediction : 1st Additional Time 2nd Poetic Glory 3rd Phoenix Arizona

CORNMARKET showed his liking for this venue when successful twice over 2m4f earlier this year and again finished well into fourth when switched to fences here last time. The Elzaam gelding could be suited by this step up in trip. Tango Theatre made all for a wide-margin victory at this circuit on her last hurdles start and John McConnell has booked 7lb claimer Dylan Kidd to help offset the 9lb higher mark. Ilbdare beat Arrycan by a length here back in May and the pair could again be in the mix along with The Little Yank, who was a creditable third at Tipperary last time.Prediction : 1st Cornmarket 2nd Tango Theatre 3rd Arrycan
