KIBRIS holds a mark of 89 on the Flat and transitioned to flights with a runner-up berth at Cork. He should have a future in this discipline and is taken to go one better. Crooked Path finished second at Gowran Park before finishing fourth behind the selection last time which entitles him to get into the mix. Whats New has shown ability over hurdles, but ran out when last seen in this sphere at Gowran Park three weeks ago. In The Minus has enough form to suggest that he is likely to be competitive once again.
Prediction : 1st Kibris 2nd Crooked Path 3rd Whats New

L' EVANGELISTE showed up well when runner-up on hurdling debut at Listowel. He got to within two lengths of the odds-on favourite who had previously finished second in the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival. Mullaghgloss landed a bumper at this track and is one to note ahead of his jumping bow, while the well-related Fatal Flaw is returning from a long absence but is more than capable of a good run. Campbell Black was backed off the boards ahead of his debut at Downpatrick and finished well off the winner in third. It will be interesting to see if the same support arrives. Walking In Mayo, who hacked up in a point-to-point in March, is another for a market check.
Prediction : 1st L Evangeliste 2nd Mullaghgloss 3rd Fatal Flaw

SHUTTLE DIPLOMACY has some strong bumper form in the book ahead of his hurdling debut. He was impressive in winning a Listed bumper at Limerick last year and was also third in the Champion Bumper at this year's Cheltenham Festival. King's Bucks landed a decent point-to-point at Ballindenisk in December last year and is of interest. He has been out once since then when runner-up in a Gowran Park bumper in March, but could come into his own jumping flights. Barry Connell's Eachtotheirown showed his talent in posting a couple of runner-up berths in bumpers, while Firebrand, Centreofattention and Treasure Memory will have their supporters.
Prediction : 1st Shuttle Diplomacy 2nd Kings Bucks 3rd Eachtotheirown

WATERFORD WHISPERS and Will The Wise are both rated 130 and hold strong claims, with preference for the former. He has a second place in a beginners' chase at Navan behind a subsequent Grade 2 winner in the book and should be all the sharper from a seasonal reappearance fourth at Listowel. Will The Wise is a significant threat after just being collared in the closing stages over C&D this month. He has won a point-to-point, a bumper and two hurdle races. Pure Steel is a point-to-point winner who is sent over fences after landing a maiden hurdle at Cork in January, while Come Walk With Me and Prends Garde A Toi are chasing debutants with plenty of hurdle form.
Prediction : 1st Waterford Whispers 2nd Will The Wise 3rd Pure Steel

SPORTINTHEPARK could be on a nice mark back over hurdles on his seasonal debut. The Noel Meade-trained gelding was impressive around here when winning a rated novice chase on this card last year. He wasn't disgraced in a Grade 2 subsequently and a mark of 120 could be lenient in this sphere. Grann's Boy arrives in fine form and has to be respected. He has won three of his last four and was unlucky here on the other outing, getting a bump early and also making a mistake which knocked him back. Rue Taylor showed improvement when winning at Wexford and is another to consider.
Prediction : 1st Sportinthepark 2nd Granns Boy 3rd Rue Taylor

GERRYS WISH ran a big race when stepped up in trip at Perth last month and looks capable of taking a prize of this standard off her current mark. The El Salvador filly lost out by a neck in a tight three-way finish and still looks relatively unexposed. Johnny Cakes was in good form when last seen and might be a danger on his return. He got going a bit too late in Kilbeggan in April and is only 1lb higher now. The well-bred Love Bite gained an important win at Tipperary earlier this month and could be competitive again, despite a 6lb rise.
Prediction : 1st Gerrys Wish 2nd Johnny Cakes 3rd Love Bite

ZEUS POWER ran a big race on his debut here earlier in the month and can go one better now. The Protectionist gelding was prominent throughout and a touch green late on when hanging left in the straight. He had a couple of today's rivals behind and should improve from the experience. Jet Renegade ran well in third, but probably doesn't have as much improvement in him. Poet's Gale ran nicely in fifth that day and may be able to play a bigger part now. Leonard Vallis, runner-up over hurdles on his debut at Gowran just over three weeks ago, is another who has to come into calculations.
Prediction : 1st Zeus Power 2nd Poets Gale 3rd Leonard Vallis
