The fourth has subsequently franked that form and, with Taryn Langley also taking 5lb off his back for this nursery debut, he could prove the one to side with. Fanjove returns to 7f with a shout on the evidence of last month's emphatic win at Newcastle, while Vintage Heat is usually in the mix at this level and is preferred to Sunshine And Roses.

Michael Dods' filly takes a marked drop in class for this all-weather debut and a bold bid is anticipated. Golden Thorn arrives in fine fettle having found only one too good over a mile at Southwell last time, but Soho Square is less exposed and will be sharper for a recent second at the latter track.

With several others struggling to find their form, Super Hit, Eden Storm and King Of Speed could fight it out for the minor honours.

Nicky Henderson has an excellent knack of placing his runners on the Flat to good effect and the versatile GOBLET OF FIRE, who has won three of his six previous starts on the all-weather, looks highly capable of enhancing the positive statistics. The in-form Sax Appeal is the most obvious danger, although he may find it tough to concede weight to the selection, despite Archie Young's 5lb claim being an asset on that level. Barenboim and Fleurman are the pick of the remainder.

Macarone and Sioux Warrior are likely to be thereabouts as well.
