Ryder is back with three fancies on Friday — including runners from Paul Nicholls, Joe Tizzard, and Jamie Snowden, all looking to extend their excellent recent form.
13:50 Exeter
Tip 1: 13:50 Exeter- Quebecois 10/11 (1pt)
Paul Nicholls has won this race five times in the past seven renewals and in one of those other races he didn’t have a runner in. QUEBECOIS (best priced at 10/11) has won on his two previous reappearance runs and also won an Ayr handicap on his final start last season on his first attempt over this 3 mile trip.
Quebecois won in a first-time tongue tie last season and has had a wind operation since his previous run. He is built like a chaser and is in receipt of 5lbs from Doyen Quest despite being rated 5lbs higher than that rival. He is expected to justify his short price.
14:25 Exeter
Tip 2: 14:25 Exeter- JPR One
It will be interesting to see if Kalif Du Berlais is allowed to take his chance on this ground but one horse who will relish it is JPR ONE (best priced at 7/2). The Joe Tizzard trained eight-year-old has won on his debut, after a 370 day break, 190 day break and 241 day break so he has superb form fresh as well as relishing a fast surface.

The Tizzard stable have a superb record in this race having won it with Cue Card in 2012, Eldorado Allen in 2021, Elixir Du Nutz in 2023 and with JPR One himself last season. He is only rated 4lbs higher than in this race last year when he beat Djelo and he should prove hard to beat.
16:10 Exeter
Tip 3: 16:10 Exeter- Jack Sprat
The Jamie Snowden stable are in fantastic form this previous week with form figures of 31133131311 and JACK SPRAT (best priced at 7/2) can hopefully continue that run. The seven-year-old won over this course and distance last season in January off a mark of 102 and he ran well when 2nd on his reappearance at Bangor off this mark of 104.
Jack Sprat was only beaten two lengths by Doctor Kildare that day and that rival has followed up since and is now rated 6lbs higher. Jack Sprat runs here off the same mark which means he is 2lbs “well in” at the weights and he looks the one to beat.
